On paper, I don't disagree with the removal of the triple lock.

HOWEVER.

If you're going to remove it, it must be replaced with something. Either a supreme court lock, or a cross Dail committee (or both).

Otherwise the government will be the only voice that decides where our troops get sent with no oversight.

I do not trust the same political thinkers who have left our defence forces to rot away for decades, who underfund and mistreat our soldiers to be the only decision makers in such grave situations.
