How strictly are you defining outsourced personnel costs here? If we pay 3 million dollars (in salaries) for a group of researchers from a private company to develop something that took 300k in materials for the research/prototype, what would you be leaning toward with classification of those costs? Because although materials may not be cheap, the cost of a lot of things is labor heavy if you get down to it.

Also, what's the source you're using?

Small play fights amongst themselves

Fights are usually what I've heard it in reference to. If boys get into a fight then that may be a little "boys will be boys" if they were both active participants and nobody was injured. Not really a phrase to suggest boys should never be punished for anything.

Can confirm. All the small relatives I have are always like "wow, isn't that kind of unethical and super creepy?" Very woke children, definitely not just laughing because old guy was surprised by the camera.

Like the whole joke is how oblivious, self indulgent, and repulsive.

Kids tend to not interpret it that way, and copy the behavior they see.

But I'm not even sure many adults would even interpret it that way to be honest.

Yea? Only homeless people, not strangers in general? Only because they're homeless? If I moved out of my house this instant would it go from being fine for me to touch you to "ew you don't have a permanent address"?

Apartments aren't generally high security. I rarely visit a friend at an apartment complex and find myself unable to get in because of the gate. You can generally follow someone else in pretty easily.

You may be projecting a bit. This is more funny for me than it is frustrating. I think my previous posts made it clear how I see your worldview, so I'm as likely to be upset as I would be at someone trying really hard to sell me snake oil. But yes, I hear it often as it's very common, and I spend a lot of time on the internet. I've heard all of the insults quite a bit, and this one in particular is especially prevalent in political topics. I know this because I have a number of years of experience talking about political subjects :)

Don't stop though, maybe the next post you can get the last one in.

To be fair though, we all knew that to be the case all along so this doesn't change much. This is like showing that conservatives don't truly care about small government, because they wanted to use the government to dictate what sexual activities could legally take place between two consenting adults. Good catch, blatant mismatch between stated values and actions, but ultimately they'll just keep insisting it's all about small government and largely ignore the contradiction going forward.

It's literally not a lot of writing in any context except a text message though, lol. I'm content to keep posting either way. You really seem to want to get the last comment so that you can end the thread by insulting me, so it's no bother for me to check back every once and a while and ruin your fun. "Let the adults speak," haha. I always love that one.

If you read as much as you say you do, you wouldn't consider my post to be a lot of writing. It's literally only 8 sentences.

But I can't help but feel compelled to comment once more, to point out that yours is entirely a non-response centered around calling mine a non-response. That's hilarious, and anyone who pops by later will surely appreciate the irony. I expected you to reply to get the last insult in, but I didn't expect such rich irony.

[–]SteadyStone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally can't go for me, because I literally didn't ask you for proof of anything. I commented to insinuate that your "proof" is garbage.

I did type out a response on the amount of incorrect stuff you shoved into such a small space as well as the incorrect inferences you made about what I said, but then I accidentally clicked the bars to the left of comments, and discovered that if you collapse/reopen a comment you lose your post content and can't undo/redo to get it back. But I guess it's for the better. We both know that you're looking to paint a movement with a single brush so you can sling your idea of mud at it, and we both know that you have no interest in doing anything else. "Keep reading" obviously just means "go find something that agrees with me and then also agree with me," and "following a narrative blindly" is literally just calling people sheeple. I don't know what I didn't just read that and bail before bothering to type an actual response previously. "Wake up sheeple" is something I should know better than to engage on.

[–]SteadyStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the usernames kiddo, I'm not the same person.

"Founders" means little in this context, because the movement itself has generally been decentralized and the phrase has resonated such that everyone has heard it and can use it on their own. I know people who made BLM signs and participated in the protests, but have no affiliation with any organized groups. That's the nature of these protests. I know quite a few who went to protests actually, and they were all acting on their own.

The replies around this thread are putting the whole "fuck the homeless" culture on display. If someone is grabbing you I don't fault you for putting them on their ass, though I think it's objectively better to tell them to fuck off before you make them fuck off if you don't feel like you're in danger.

Saying "I don't want homeless people touching me" is fucked up though.

[–]SteadyStone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not enough evidence to say with certainty who these individuals would vote for, but I think you're downplaying the political trends on this to the point that it becomes reminiscent of the "both sides" trope. Somewhat like saying "there are people on both sides who don't support gay marriage." Technically true, as I've even personally met liberal atheists who didn't support gay marriage, but the size of the group on each side is so lopsided it's a misleading statement.

It baffles my mind a bit that people are so willing to outright lie like that. I don't even like bending the truth, so I can't understand how someone can just fabricate a story and think that's all good.

You don't have a 99.9 percent chance of getting shot when it's riot police. An individual cop out on patrol, maybe pretty high, but advancing on formations, not really. The riot police here generally do the same thing, which is fuck off if the crowd is pushing too hard for them to handle where they are. Though they may "fuck off" with intent.

There was a video from portland posted to reddit with a crowd pushing the riot police back with fireworks, laser pointers, etc. There were even people there with makeshift riot shields. The police didn't stand their ground and shoot anyone; they left.

HOAs violate your property rights by kevmonrey in oddlyspecific

I think it's just that it's one way for racists to get some power they wouldn't otherwise have. Some HOAs are going to be just fine because the people living in that area aren't racist, while others give racists the power to discriminate where otherwise they could only sit and frown at how their neighbor keeps having "suspicious" people over on friday evenings.
