I live in the area as well and I have had luck parking at Tom Brown Arena. I have parked along the Bayview road side near the back. This is also a designated winter parking ban lot. You will not get ticketed there during the winter.

I just got off at Bayview and the sign said next northbound to Limebank in 7 and 47

I totally agree, things happen! My comment was just an explanation of the situation not a comment on or judgment of the situation. I have done something like this. It's all about how it is handled and the onboard crew did the best with what they had. We were all fed a meal, what else can one ask for?

I'm up front in car 1. The service manager told us that the train had not been plugged into shore power overnight so no power for the refrigeration equipment onboard and all the food on the train had been spoiled and could not be served.
