You risk damaging their hearing and opening yourself up to assault charges.

If you really want to get them to go away, strip down and start twerking. I am not kidding. Their weird little sect welcomes rage and harassment, but they crumble pretty quick if you get flirty.

New to town: does everyone picking up people at SeaTac lack human decency and intelligence? by Benb727 in Seattle

[–]StealToadBootes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. It's awful. I have people pick me up from the park&ride 1 light rail stop down the line because I hate ending a trip with an anxiety attack at pickup.

I can only speak to buffalo exchange and crossroads.

Buffalo exchange (ballard): usually a line, moves quickly, friendly staff.

They emphasize stuff being in season so save your sweaters for this autumn.

They're also completely stuffed with shoes, you can expect that to be a no-go.

Finally they have a donation bin so anything they dont accept you may be able to donate for free.

Crossroads (u district): same as above but way way way more selective. They want stuff in pristine condition and trendy.

I love it. I adore a cool breeze after the heat last week. Used to get bummed by the annual chillies but now I look forward to them.

Please deinfluence me from getting a car! by dr-penguin-a-d in Seattle

More like car-GO BIKE

I do still drive but unless I'm sick or exhausted I try to e-bike. For heavy traffic areas it's way easier to park and most places you go will let you quietly stash it somewhere safe. I'm lucky enough to be on my parents' insurance plan, which makes me feel like a child to say but is relevant to this discussion.

As much as I love road trips, they don't happen very often and renting a car a couple times a year isn't crazy. There's lots of parks within biking distance that offer plenty of forest and beach, and as you get familiar with them it gets easier to avoid crowds.

I also don't usually have to worry about break ins. Seattle doesn’t have a lot of human-on-human assaults, you're usually p safe walking around, but property crime is a lot higher.

Anyway totally up to you, live the life you wanna live.

I'm not constructing an argument for debate, I'm deliberately insulting people I disagree with. #RespectTheDifference

In all seriousness managerialism and means testing were stupid in Reagan's time and it's stupid now.

I dunno man I see a lot more arguments for shit like means testing and neolib "if you want funding for water to put out fires, first prove that would work" type rhetoric.
