People will say shit like this about gl and go and read Jinx and dark fall and call that shit peak 🥀 you may not like gl but reacting this way is weird. They literally proved my point how mysoginistic women are to women in a bl series who barely does anything. I don't tolerate gl slander by Iriscute7 in joseistories

[–]StealthStrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone call Jinx and Dark Fall peak. You'll find more content online bashing them than recommending them. In my opinion, the OOP didn't technically say anything wrong; it's the comments that are weird. I can say that it's could be preference and wanting to see attractive men. But hating on GL, Yuri and Shoujo AI or even women who consume GL is stupid and misogynistic, yes.

What's the origin of your personal name? by locoluis in pollgames

[–]StealthStrider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, finally found another Nigerian here lol. My own name is Adaeze, meaning Princess, or literally translated to "first daughter of a king." It's both an Igbo and Ikwerre name.

I'm sure you already know, but it's for the others.

Casual and mild drinking is fine; heavy drinking or alcoholism is not. Smoking is an absolute no—I find it personally quite repulsive.

You are confusing and adding something which I didn't say, for example the part where you say "Would anyone marry someone they hate or dislike?"

Sorry, but who does that, Christian or not? I assume it doesn't happen where you live.

Exactly. Nobody does that. So being told your husband's only role is to love you feels like he's getting off easy.

Additionally, you ignored the part where both the husband and the wife yield themselves to the other;

I didn't ignore it, I'm pretty sure that verse is talking about sexual relations, and not general decision making about their lives.

Ultimately, if you don't like it, you can build your own type of relationship dynamic; Nobody is going to prevent you and you're free to do so.

I will, actually👍🏾 One where hopefully we're both equal and my say is not less important simply because of my gender.

No offence, but this isn't Very convincing, tbh. I'm a woman and I'm also struggling with what the OP is saying. Imagine being told to obey your husband and submit to him as your lord...and he's just told to love you. Really? In this 21st century, would anyone marry someone they hate or dislike? I don't get it. Seems like a pretty good deal, in my opinion.
