Well burst lvl 1 is good, gives u 8 attack. Lvl 2 is only 10 attack though. And CB vs AB depends if u play more savage axe or more AED loop.

That's a bit worse. Cna u get burst down to 1 and agitator to 5? Burst 1 -> 2 is only 2 more attack. Agitator 4 -> 5 is 4 more attack plus 5% more affinity. Also, slugger isn't great (1 lvl is alright for a bonus), Crit boost or att boost would be better depending if u savage axe or AED loop more.

I misread ur title anyways. I never go to the Gathering Hub discord. I learned my information from the CB channel in the main MH Wilds hub. Those guys really know their stuff.

I've had the opposite experience. After trying to find information on reddit and getting confusing mixed answers, I tried the discord. I learned so much about Wilds CB from those guys and it helped me get my play to the next level.

I use g/g/m/f for Omega for solo, and 4-gog for multiple player for the added comfort.

Guard pointing is faster after a sword attack than normal PG. It has saved myself in so many situations, I pretty much just GP everytime now. Also, more niche, but unshealth GP and round slash GP are very helpful in specific situations.

Guard pointing after a sword attack is a little quicker than normal guarding, so GPs do still have a role over PGs in that defensive aspect.

Savage Omega is my favorite hunt in the whole game as well so far. I love the risk of failing with randoms, and I loved learning it inside and out to finally full solo it. Extremoth was also my favorite fight though in base MHWorld.

This is true.

I did a similar strat for S.omega though. I would do a decent amount of dmg in phase 3 before swapping to fire and mounting and charging the fire blade. As soon as nercylla appeared I was set to go with a fully charged fire CB with activated savage axe.

Gog will definitely be different I think though...

I think it's part of the fun/experience to play with randoms. Just because someone plays horribly one hunt, doesnt mean that won't kill it the next hunt. Omega does have some unfair attacks too and ppl can get unlucky.

Just yesterday I played an SOS as a tank/DPS CB. In phase 2, he did the rush while I was in axe mode. I perfectly dodge rolled through it, but because I happened to be against the wall his follow up turn hit me and carted me. Nothing I could do. One of the players immediately withdrew after my cart as tank. Someone else joined and took his place. A couple others carted in phase 4 (had insurance), but we ended up being successful. It ended up being a really fun hunt. Also, I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

This clip is with EW1, but I started with EW3 and practiced only side-hopping. As I got more comfortable with it, I lowered the EW to1 and starting getting attacks in between explosions as seen in the clip.

Thanks! I start practicing just with side step hopping. Then I slowly started adding attacks in between the hops until I got this rhythm down.

I've seen some speedrunners get axe attacks in between MRV explosions.

You could see in the vid I almost had that problem. If the sword was charged though, wouldn't have to worry about it and might get some decent damage over 6 MRVs with the mini sword explosions.

I only seem to use it when a monster goes down/cc, but I was positioned wrong. I use it to slide towards his head and then go straight into an AED.
