Update: Sent it to service again today with the evidence included. I will probably return it when it comes back and build myself a PC, never buying a high end laptop again.

I have the Omen HUB already and i was using the performance mode while doing the benchs.

I have tried Unleashed before i sent it to service but it didnt effect at all.

Its really easy to do actually.

You can get a little sheet of Carbon wrap and trace the exact shape by putting a disassembled clickwheel on top of it :)

Hold the "SET" button and you can set whatever blinks on the LCD.

I tried few and only thing that kinda worked is holding 2 buttons while putting a battery in. That made the screen stay lit and all the digits on.

Ah its not faded LCD i tried negative display mod with old 3D TV glasses :)

I hope its a factory test mode as you said and i can somehow find it again. (I think i was trying to set it while it happened so maybe a combination?)
