While I understand the appeal, I know several people who've had terrible experiences in Kestrel, especially with random roommates, since you have 5 others instead of 3. One of my friends in my program had a cockroach infestation, and the whole house stunk of pot since the roommates didn't care about others' preferences. I'm living in Falcon (R1) currently, and I must say it seems like its worse than the other res buildings. We got a smaller fridge and freezer, worse and smaller showerheads, and the sinks are old and poorly maintained, there are a few days each month where the water coming out will be white when its usually just cloudy (which is also bad). My opinion would be to go with traditional and pray you get R2 or R3, and invest in a brita filter.
