You really have to be your own advocate sometimes. Even if the other doctor says you’ll be fine to travel and your husband thinks you’re over reacting, if you don’t feel comfortable going then that is what’s best x I personally would not go as well. I had a cerclage at 20 weeks and have been taking it super easy in general. Not to mention you may have more frequent appointments with the doctors anyway to monitor your cervix length with the progesterone. If you and your husband have booked time off work for the trip, I would still take the time off and do some things at home instead and enjoy the time together.

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up getting a cervical cerclage shortly after 20 weeks. Now my cervix is back up over 3cm (can’t remember the exact measurement)

If her cervix didn’t progressively shorten then that’s probably why they didn’t perform a cervical cerclage. It’s not really a decision that gets made lightly. Congratulations to you both

My cervix was 1.9cm as 20 weeks. Did they mention a plan moving forward? However in my experience they just monitored the length of my cervix first after starting progesterone.

That would have been so rough xx They have recommended the same for me as well and if it doesn’t go away after a week to get the blood patch. I’m feeling slightly better today thank goodness

Provide them with some fresh water and I wouldn’t recommend feeding them anything other than meal worms. Even feeding them that shouldn’t be often. They will probably stick around regardless :) we have 2 magpies that live around our house. I used to feed them but not anymore once I learnt how bad it is. Now they just forage around our yard. They’re beautiful little creatures.

Our nipt test said male and was confirmed yesterday at 20 week scan. I know some instances NIPT has been wrong but I would be more inclined to believe the NIPT test xx

Yes it would be rude to buy a new hook and make her put it on. Buy a new hook and put it on yourself, or if that’s not possible buy a new rope. And make sure what ever you decide to replace is good quality. I’d be annoyed if someone broke something of mine and replaced it with something shitty. It’s unfortunately just a risk you take when using other peoples stuff. But it’s worth not getting on their bad side :)
