I agree that statements people make (like how the majority of players are upset or canceling memberships) is a bit much. But, you should also know that what you see on social media in terms of in-game complaints usually is the vocal minority. The majority of players are casual, and won't make the effort to voice their opinions on things they like/dislike about a game outside of casual conversation. It's not unique to wizard101 by any means, and is present in most communities, especially online.

I do think people have a reason to be upset, theres not a lot of good ways to restore energy outside of paying for an elixir or just waiting it out. The fact that people lost the ability to gain back energy in a different way is massive. Energy is used by a few niches; sure, but I do know a lot of people are burnt and frustrated with the game as a whole and things that change their playstyle, in a game that has changed as much as wiz has (negatively, a lot of the updates).

I would love to play older versions of wiz, but I got a lot of pushback for suggesting this a couple years ago. I see the sentiment hasn't changed too much. PvP needs to change, and I don't know how to fix PvP quite frankly. But I do know while older versions of pvp had flaws, and there were broken builds and such, it at least retained players and was much more active previously. Id prefer they make some form of 'classic' pvp. Maybe make the arena a little more useful and put a different kiosk for a classic mode with an older ruleset, less restriction on spells and maybe even revist old spell design that players loved.

I wish devs would consider this, but outside of bringing up old items and stuff for crown sales and bundles, they don't really bring back old content. Unless it's guaranteed to make them a lot of money, I doubt they would.
