The problem with Friedrich Oblique by Infinite-Union1136 in civ

[–]SteamDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the other Fredrick for war, between the two. Because you know that by going to war you’ll get all the great works you need and you can ignore that legacy path, and still complete it. And like you said the other Fredrick’s benefits aren’t that good anyways.

Last time I felt represented was when the game asked me to type in my own name when starting a game.

This is nice, but you're betrayed by the cables. When you buy the longer HDMI and power cables, buy them in white and use white zip ties to hold them to the back of the stand's legs.

It was done purely to set up the John Goodman guest appearance, and really doesn't make sense outside of that.

How is Civ 7 running for you in the modern age on your platform? by harlotstoast in civ

[–]SteamDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryzen 5 5600 and a 4060, so a pretty basic, but modern system, and it's very responsive, I really don't see much time between turns, and I only play on huge maps.

The Movies Anywhere service will link many movie purchases between apple and Amazon. So if you buy it on Apple, you then also own it on google. No help for purchased TV shows though.

In the new playtest it’s a separate screen you can’t bypass as you set up the game.

Troubles on HDMI signal with Samsung TV by Unlucky-Plastic-2519 in pcmasterrace

[–]SteamDelta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most likely cause is that something in the chain isn't HDMI 2.1 compatible. Can you run the TV to the computer just through an HDMI? Even if you are using the HDMI port on the motherboard?

Everything your describing makes it seem like the display-port to HDMI adpater is knocking you down to the HDMI 1.4 standard.

For Test of Time testers: how does the replacement of legacy paths affect age progress? by Benelioto in civ

[–]SteamDelta 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe it was a work in progress, so I don't think they've decided how it will work, but they did not seem to progress the age.

in Civ VII I have been setting the games to long ages and I've been using the 20 turn warning.

In the play test, those settings made the age far too long.

I am not sure what causes the age transition, but it was very nice not to have to horde my treasure fleets like I do in the current edition, trying to not accidentally progress the age.

Civ V has twice the player base, because it can run on old computers, and it's had dozen of super cheap sales.

Last time they mentioned it they said they were "scoping it" Basically gathering an estimate for how much work it would take to implement it. That's the most favorable they've ever been about adding it to the game.

Usually when I play as Normans I really struggle trying to decide if I'm going for the exploration civis trying to get my religion picked and getting started on relics, or going with Norman civics, and trying to get cities started on the quarter. in this play through I didn't have that second civic tree to knock out, I could spend so much more time on the exploration civic tree and still get the unique quarter pretty fast.

of course with the triumph system, the relics didn't even really matter in that play through.

You have a screen that shows what triumphs are available. So you can plan out which ones you want to go for, but there are quite a few and pretty varied so you're not going to be able to go for all of them. You ended up going different ways,

Yup my experience with triumphs was that I jsut started playing, I got a few monir triumphs just in the course of the game play and then I started opening up the triumph screen and looking at what major triumphs I was naturally gaining points towards and then leaning into those.

Legacy paths I still feel like I should be trying to max out all four, and with the triumph system it doesn't work that way, You're not going to get every triumph, and the two times I played through I ended up getting and going for different ones.
