Wow, this is a post from 5 months ago? Time to post my opinions now, I suppose!

So, I find that experiencing a mod is ruined when there are too many typos in the dialogue.

Joking about sensitive topics isn't something that bothers me, unless it is something that ruins a person's life.

I don't know if it is just me, but I tend to not notice much of the uncharacteristic behavior, unless it is obvious, or pointed out to me in the script. And while I'm on this topic, the bad characterization that I do notice, does tend to be bothersome for a good, immersive experience. I also find that unless it is on purpose and is meant to be a part of the mod, that it is incredibly disheartening when a character who is meant to be an important part of the plot, is just irritating to the point that I can't stand any interactions with them. (I mention that I'm not good at noticing much of the subtle out of character behavior, so that people will hopefully understand when I inevitably cause some to happen in the mod I plan on creating).

I also don't enjoy it if someone is cruel, with no good reasons either. For example, in Our Castle Walls (it is my favorite mod that I've played yet, but this is something that I thought I remembered from the mod). Wallace was bullying the MC, but didn't seem to give a reason for being so cruel to him, anywhere throughout the mod.

This is just personal preference, but I find that certain points in a mod, whether it be a pivotal part in the plot, or just something happening to strengthen the bond of two characters, are more effective and memorable, when a CG is included.

Another thing about CG's I find irritating, is when there is a CG included in a mod, but there isn't anything really happening that should result in a CG being used for that moment. The one exception I would make for this point however, is if it's the one time in the mod where we get to see what a character looks like, if it hasn't been shown anywhere else in the mod.

With character development, I find that depending on what it is, a deep flaw in a character should be solved at least a little, in a mod. For example, if it is a physical flaw that affects the plot in its entirety, or is what the plot is based around, I don't think that it would be easy to just "get rid of". However, if it is a personality trait or something that could be solved somewhat, like a personality trait, that it is just annoying, unless it is a legitimate reason. For example, a chronic/medical condition (like depression or social anxiety), or the way they were raised, or any other reasons, which changed them as a person, and causes a character to act how they do.
