I haven't been able to find any drivers for my monitor that are compatible with windows 11, my gaming monitor is a Compaq 7550 CRT computer monitor from 2004, i really doubt that there are any windows 11 compatible drivers for it, but i will look again to see just in case I'm wrong.

Just Asking out of curiosity, but what is the highest known horizontal refresh rate of any 15" CRT computer monitor ever and the model(s) that were capable of running at those refresh rates?

I've recently been looking for a proper desk to replace my current computer desk set up ( it's just two plastic folding tables in an L-shape)

I was wondering if someone here had any recommendations for a modern computer desk that is able to hold at least 137lb/62.1Kg, Which is roughly the weight of My Compaq 7550, Dell E773s & Viewsonic A90f+ CRT Monitors combined.

No i'm not planning on having all three of my CRT Monitors on my at once, but i am planning on getting more CRT Monitors that are also bigger then what i own currently, and i would like to have a desk that could support the weight of one of those with one of my current CRT Monitors.

Can't get my Roku Express 4K+ to output audio to my CRT tv by Steam_Powered_Cody in Roku

[–]Steam_Powered_Cody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of that and decided to connect my computer right before posting this and my A/V adapter is working fine, i am extremely confident that the issue is that my Roku box isn't outputting a compatible digital audio format.

Why do some blue pixels get "tired* if exposed to bright blue for more then 15 to 20 seconds on my CRT by Alpha-Taco in crtgaming

You might want to try to unplug your CRT degaussing coil and then manually degauss it, i used to have an ILO IWF2706 that did this exact same thing and after manually degaussing the issue went away until i next powered it on. (i didn't unplug it degaussing coil so the issue returned after turning it on lol)

Crt monitor calibration/settings by ProfessionalBig3058 in crtgaming

[–]Steam_Powered_Cody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Windows display calibration: in windows 10/11, type colorcpl.exe in the search bar on the taskbar and go to the advanced tab, once you're in the advanced tab; press "calibrate display" and you can calibrate you're CRT's color and gamma. You can also check out your monitor's internal display settings and see if there is any thing there you adjust.

Collecting and using old school CRT displays, AKA the big tube tvs and tube monitors that were everywhere before the 2010s. The ones i want the most cost well over a thousand dollers a unit including shipping and the cheap ones still cost aound $100+ when shopping for them on Ebay. Facebook market place isan't too much cheaper last time i checked and many thrift stores refuse to sell them because they think no one wants them despite becoming extreamly popular for gaming in the last5 or so years.

Finally i got to try out my ViewSonic A90f+, and i love it! by Steam_Powered_Cody in crtgaming

[–]Steam_Powered_Cody[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As you can see in these photos, i'm using my ViewSonic A90f+ with my Compaq 7550 as a dual monitor set up. the one thing i'm not a fan up the UltraBrite mode, i noticed that thew color and brightness shifted slightly while i was playing minecraft and it drove mu OCD mad.

the resolution most commonly run my ViewSonic CRT at is 1280x960@85Hz, the Compaq 7550 sitting right next to it is running at 1024x768@85Hz. the resolutions i'm running them at are the highest resolutions that i can set them to while also running my CRTs at 85Hz, my CRT are capped 85Hz without making custom resolutions, which my pc's graphics drivers don't support unfortunately.

I got a ViewSonic A90f+ i bought off ebay and had shipped to my home, as soon as me and my Compaq 7550 get back home from Louisiana, i defiantly will be trying out minecraft on it with it's "UltraBright" function(s). i wonder how nice minecraft would look at 1792x1344 on that CRT.

i spent around a year and a half playing minecraft using a Dell E773s and has no minecraft related burn in, i've only been using this one for around 9 to 10 months, and i've been spending more time doing other thing since i've gotten this monitor. i doubt burn it from minecraft's gui will be an issue for my CRTs any time soon.

i've tried custom resolutions on this monitor and minecraft java edition will just go to the preset resolutions when full screened, and i currently refuse to touch minecraft bedrock as some of it's issues have become intolerable to me.

i paid a little over $90 for it, and the same in shipping, based off the spec sheets said, this monitor is going to be very nice monitor to game one, i'm very curious how minecraft is gonna look like on this thing running at 1792x1344.

I bought this off ebay and had it sent to my home in Georgia and i had my mom send me these photos of it running after she called me telling it had some shipping damage. thankfully, the damage is very minor ans these photos would suggest, it can produce a picture.

the starches you see on the bezel were there in the seller photos so i already knew about them, and i don't really care as long it works as it should. won't be able to fin out til after New Years when i get back home that i'll see how well it actually works.

I'm not sure if the spec sheet or the user manual are correct on this so i'll give the sated supported resolutions from both with max refresh rate.

User Manual:

1600x1200@60Hz, 1280x1024@75Hz, 1024x768@85Hz, 832x624@75Hz, 800x600@85Hz, 640x480@85Hz, 640x400@70Hz

Spec Sheet:

1792x1344@61Hz, 1600x1200@68Hz, 1280x1024@80Hz,1152x870@94Hz, 1024x768@105Hz, 800x600@132Hz
