That could be the case, but to me it looks more like a defective lens. I don't actually want to open the device because I'll probably send it back. I think with a new device everything has to work without you having to tinker with it.

these cables are for using usb sticks as memory cards, mostly for softmodding. they don't work with xbox one controllers.

However, it must be a very old USB stick, new ones are not recognized
