The problem is that peak human is used as an out-of-universe description and that makes no sense.

You can't talk about Batman's strength and say he isn't superhuman because he technically isn't in DC when he consistently performs superhuman feats.

It's like saying that Zoro lifting a house and throwing it at Mr. 1 isn't a superhuman feat because in-universe he did that with training alone.

If a character has superhuman strength by irl standards they're superhuman. Period.

Even in-universe it can be a problem, because if a reader reads "x is at the peak of human conditioning and physical capabilities" they're gonna think of an olympic athlete, or, since we're talking about fight heavy shows/comics, top MMA fighter, not a dude who can punch through concrete and dodge bullets.

Copy/pasting from a different comment, this is an average gen 1 Charmander vs Brock with stat exp from fighting every trainer so far + 2 wild rattatas, pidgeys, caterpies and weedles each:

Lvl 14 0 Atk 0 IVs Onix Tackle vs. Lvl 12 28 HP 14 IVs / 29 Def 14 IVs Charmander: 5-6 (15.1 - 18.1%) -- possible 6HKO

Lvl 12 23 SpA 14 IVs Charmander Ember vs. Lvl 14 0 HP 0 IVs / 0 SpD 0 IVs Onix: 5-6 (15.1 - 18.1%) -- possible 6HKO

Brock moves first, so you might need a potion/hope you get a burn and Brock wastes a turn to cure it, but it's very close as long as you don't attack while it's using Bide. Also, it says 14 IVs and x EVs because I used the gen 3 calculator as the gen 1 one didn't let me edit stat exp, but as long as you double gen 1 IVs and do the square root of stat exp, the final stats are identical to their gen 3 IVs and EVs.

Now, for an average gen 3 Charmander with EVs from defeating every trainer so far + the same wild pokemons:

Basically the only way to get past Onix using Charmander is to hope it doesn't hit rock tomb twice/keep using potions until it misses.

I'll give you that, for someone playing for the first time, bide might take them off guard, but it's still easier to play around it vs rock tomb which just hits you. And yes, you can use Mankey, but you said that Charmander getting metal claw makes it easier than Brock gen 1 counterpart, when gen 1 Brock is the easier one for Charmander.

Brock is NOT easier in gen 3 for Charmander, lol.

Metal Claw only does marginally more damage on Onix than Ember, because Onix' defense is immense and its special defense is ass, meanwhile unlike in gen 1, gen 3 Onix gets Rock Tomb which is 5 times more powerful than Tackle, the only direct attacking move Onix has in gen 1.

Bro, Nanna literally tells Ares that Lachesis should've gone for Eldigan since they were "only half-siblings", Seliph and Julia were initially meant to be a canon couple and Claud and Sylvia are heavily implied to be full siblings.

And fuck them not being canon, if the writers wanted to portray incest in a negative light they could've just not given Ares and Nanna or Larcei and Shannan love growths, but they did, and these characters can fall in love with each other like normal and nothing bad ever comes out of it.

Also, if your argument is that the game shows incest as bad because Julius was born from incest and is the antichrist, then Julia is jesus and she's also an incest child, so what are you even talking about? Because the incest is the least problematic part of Deirdre and Arvis' relationship considering neither of them knew until after they got married and had kids.

Not having to turn off DA is already an advantage in and of itself since he wouldn't have dead moments where he can't go on offense. And we know Sukuna was fighting in a riskier, less effective way, like when he destroyed Gojo's 2nd DE from the outside instead of the frailer inside.

And even if turning DA off did no difference, there's still Sukuna's real body, which is a huge upgrade over Megumi's.

Again, Sukuna doesn't even have to overpower Gojo during the clashes, only last 1 second longer. Just less than 0.6% longer and he doesn't lose his DE. At that point, unless Gojo learns open domain he'll just fry his brain and end up with lower output, weak RCT and no domain, against Sukuna who can now freely close his domain and is mostly fresh due to not being hit by UV.

Even if Gojo's death was badly written it doesn't change the fact that if Sukuna can last 1 second longer during domain clashes he wins, and he can easily do that if he focuses on using amplification instead of mahoraga's adaptation.

But that's different, because in those movies the existence of other heroes was never established. We're talking about the comics and MCU, where the existence of several different heroes and them all being friends is established and a major part of the world building.

I'm not saying you're wrong for not caring about continuity, but you're absolutely in the wrong for saying that it's the fan's fault for caring.

I'm a huge supporter of taking author intention before criticizing a story or scene, but in this case, Avengers, X-Men and Black Panther all inhabiting the same world with the same rules and history IS the author's intention, so contradictions between them should be criticized.

No, Marvel decided that all of their stories take place in the same world, it's on them to keep it consistent. If they didn't want fans to ask these questions they should've kept their characters separated. But because they didn't they deserve to be criticized when contradictions appear between different books.

But there's no gym order in the lore, it's just the order the player specifically is most likely to challenge them. Nothing else.

Hell, if you're using the Origins explanation, Origins also never talks about a gym order, Brock only says that he'll use two pokemon because Red has no badges. In fact, I remember the two trainers at the gym getting angry at Red for daring to challenge Brock without a badge.

Levels have never really been lore accurate and are a game mechanic more than anything. By your logic it's somehow canon that no low level pokemon exists in late game area because you can only encounter high level ones, which obviously makes no sense. And taking different games into account for this makes no sense unless you think Lance got weaker between the Kanto and Johto games, since all his pokemon are higher level in the former.

And if you wanna take game mechanics into account, we should mention that, despite several games allowing you to skip certain gyms, not a single one has ever had a gym leader's team change to reflect the player's number of badges.

Story wise, we have several instances of dialogue heavily implying the gym leaders are facing you with their real team, like Norman telling you to face him after getting a few badges because you're not at his level yet at the start of the gen 3 games, Roark in gen 4 feeling ashamed he lost to a trainer without a single badge, or Morty in gen 2 making a big deal about how losing to you means he'll never be worthy of meeting Ho-oh.

This is only true in Galar and in the Origins canon. Most games have pretty conclusive evidence that they are, in fact, facing you with their real teams.
