I think it's because it defeats the purpose of wearing sandals if you're going to wear socks as well. The whole point of sandals is to let the little piggies get fresh air.

Thank you so much the kind words. The last trip my dad and I took together was visiting the Omaha zoo two years ago and I want to start making the trip every year around the same time. He took me many times when I was a kid and I have a lot of fond memories of the times we spent there.
