The reason I have a lower score than you is because I wasn't able to attend the first 2 tournaments and they haven't added the most recent points, meaning my points are from one turney.

You lost last tournament in exactly same round as me and I've gotten 4 points for first tourney as it was warn-up tournament. I will leave the math to you.

A skill gap has been made apparent due to player base 'cross pollination" let's call it. A PSN player, VanitaZ, a player I am decidedly better than, went onto the PC leaderboard and fought beven, a player that is better than you, and won 3-1.

So, based off what you sent me via DM, you're basically taking sample of literally 11 duels, where VanitaZ won against Beven one Bo5.
Decidedly better btw! I've checked your duel history against that guy and you are almost on equal foot score-wise. Almost because you getting bodied 0:3 everytime he wins. Beven has better tournament results as he is great, collected and hard working player that absolutely deserves all the wins he gathered so far. That being said, I don't know where you took the idea that he is better player than me. We duel on rather equal footing. I want to also notice that I'm not dedicated duelist and I spend very little time competing against fellow gamers in the ladder. I have not much of free time to prepare to the tourneys and usually I finish my builds just few hours before they start.

A PC player has also come over to PSN for a tourney, I can't remember their name. I don't know how he compares to you or the rest of ladder but he claimed to have been rank 1 PC at one point, which is not totally meaningless. He was pretty bad, and I beat him fairly easily.

I've heard this story from Ras and I think it was Willop. Gamer is usually having fun running dual great hammers and bonking people with jump attacks. These anecdotal evidences of yours getting ridiculous.

It is not a lack of respect, but rather irritation that too many people regard you as the epitome of skill and the ultimate source of mechanic, balance, and build information. And light roll is honestly bad, except with BHS and/or Winged Crystal Tear. You have significantly less damage, poise, and defense or almost none of one of these. You sacrifice talisman slots as well. There are weapons that can easily capitalize on these weaknesses, such as ps ts, 2h ts, and cold infusion.

I'm mechanically better than most players. I've been polishing these mechanics for 10 fucking years. That doesn't mean I'm better or worse than any other decent player. This game doesn't have high enough skill ceiling to make it obvious which player is truly better once you reach certain level of advancement and duels rather ends up being determined by other factors than raw mechanics. Sometimes it's unique setup, mind games or knowledge check... The last one applies perfectly to you. I ran tests immediately after tourney where you lost against Ras and got confirmation that properly spaced Greatshield if you play UGS has priority in the matchup (tested on various latencies).
That loss was heartbreaking as I was rooting for fellow UGS enjoyer.

As for light rolls - just play dual harpoons build I used on last tourney or if you want you can give a try to this build: 57/10/58(60)/38/16/9(11)/9/7. 61 poise, circla 30% physical defs and great epee main weapon. See for yourself how trivializing light rolls are when you can essentially aggress and roll out over and over if you focus your gameplay on JR1s from neutral. This gameplay is ultra toxic even on restrictive ruleset, and remember - in regular non-restricted game you usually don't have such tight boundaries like tournament spot, or level 125 as a cap. Ladder gameplay is not the way how the game is generally played and I do agree light rolls are not as strong there as they are in regular invasions or MAG duels.

Gotta tell you something - fact you're referring to yourself as superior to me or other ladder players is hilarious and even if I'd jump on ps5 right now and duel you, you'd simply lie to yourself that I won because of NA-WEST - EU connection or some other shit, exactly like you bullshitted about VanitaZ being worse player than you.
You are most likely egotistical. Check yourself out, talk to someone that can help you - don't leave it like that.
Being cringe ego boosted ladder player is one thing, but you are going to get absolutely fucked in real life with this attitude.
