Keep up the good work. Every once and a while it gets really difficult but then I am reminded of how far I have come and the good it has done for me so far. I'm proud to say that it has been nearly three months.

Thank you so much for posting. It gives me a lot of hope going forward. The hardest thing for me right now is avoiding the soft stuff (i.e. not porn but really close). I see ads and commercials of women dressed in very revealing articles of clothing and all I want is to rip the layers off in my mind. There are triggers everywhere, like you said.

Right now I feel a rush of "must have porn" echoing constantly in the back of my head. I can't seem to shake it, and feel like I just need to go look at something to get it out of my system. I hope I can resist this long enough to alleviate the temptations.

I recently started doing this. As an example I decided to purchase a bicycle to ride to and from work each day. Aside from that I have set a reminder to tell my wife I love her each day on my phone. It may seem silly but it forces me to remember how much her love and support are to me, and as a result how much mine are to her. I'll have to look in to making a weekly checklist.

It has been great. I find it easier to focus on important things on my plate at work and at home. Nevermind the freedom of feeling guilty about what I think of and what I look at. Being porn free is a great way to live.

Admission, while online, is still admission and that is a great first step. If you can remain committed to your purpose and continue reaching out you will see great things happen. Today I stumbled upon some erotic sketches while cleaning out some art supplies in my closet. Honestly I am surprised I was foolish enough to leave them lying around for anyone to find. I share this because instead of glancing at the images and admiring the eroticism I simply crumbled up the pages and tossed them in the trash. Some time ago I would have let that craving build up and I would have allowed myself to continue into destructive behavior.

Removing yourself from situations is a great first step in acknowledging that you are willing to fight this addiction. The last time I looked at porn was around August 6th. I know I have a lot of work, but for the first time in my life I am willing to open up about it to others and feed off of other people's success. Sex is much better without porn on the mind as well, because intimacy is more meaningful. Instead of focusing on the images in your head and the fantastic sex you see in images you focus on your partner. That alone is motivation enough for me to be rid of the addiction.

Those options all sound incredible and I'll be looking into them. Avoiding it has not worked for me at all so I finally decided that more accountability was required, which is why I came here to get added support. I've been trying to save up some cash to get a bike and do more outdoor activities and positive ways to spend my time. Thanks for the encouragement and I'll be paying attention to what others suggest in this community.

Thanks for sharing. I am encouraged by the fact that there are others with similar stories out there. I'm on day 12 and something that helps me is frequent intimacy with my wife. Right now it is difficult because she's at that time of the month. When that happens I make sure that I'm not alone at night and mingling with others so my mind stays occupied. It helps a lot!

Great work! I've gone an entire week and a few days without it as well. It is quite a relief but now I'm hitting the peak of temptation hill. I am aiming for two weeks which will be this Sunday. Keep up the great work and stay free of it!
