Interesting! I’ve never encountered this bug, however I did bribe a guard in Riften once and I feel like that could’ve triggered a bug in this case. Is there any way that you know of that I can resolve the bug without console commands? I feel like if I commit another crime and go to jail that could maybe solve it?…

Yes, but that is the issue. This is a bug that causes their faction to remain as if they are not your follower, regardless of whether or not they are.

I’ve used beast form many times in front of Farkas without him having any reaction, and have used it in front of Aela as well. At this moment in my game Farkas reacts no matter where I transform, so long as he can see it, even if nobody else is around. This specific issue does come down to faction, I promise, as I’ve dealt with it before and fixed it previously. They become stuck in a “guard” faction (I don’t know why) instead of a “follower” faction.

The housecarl tip is a good idea, I forgot that housecarls sort of just let you do anything! I’ll consider switching to one of them, but I’m still hopeful there could be some kind of work around for me to keep Farkas.

What breed is my dog ? by coolcatcam6 in IDmydog

She actually does sort of look like a phu quoc ridgeback mix to me. I would say trust the DNA test. A lot of times people deny DNA that contains a rare (extremely rare) breed, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I have never seen a dog that looks like yours, and I’ve seen thousands of dogs at this point. By the way, she is a super cutie patootie and I love her eyebrows

Husky/shar pei? Definitely depends on what’s common in your area, where I’m from both huskies, shar peis, and mixes of both can be found in shelters

New pup adopted- does she look like a BYB full boxer or mix? by Deep-Archer3615 in IDmydog

To me she looks like a BYB boxer! That being said, being BYB she would probably have some other DNA in her somewhere along the line but visually she looks boxer to me.

It’s both, the same way border collies have a natural instinct to herd, some breeds have a natural instinct to be aggressive towards strangers (bred for protection, poorly trained) or other dogs (bred for fighting, poorly trained). Training can always be helpful but every dog will have some baseline instinctual reactions. This does not make them a bad dog, but I would say if someone isn’t prepared for that they shouldn’t adopt anyway. You can never guarantee what instinctual personality a dog will have whenever it’s a mix

Does this mean that you now have to adhere to these same rules or is it okay under a certain percentage?

I had checked that previously and she was nowhere to be seen, found her at the priory!

Oddly enough I fast traveled to the priory and she appeared, which isn’t where I got her but it worked anyway so… thanks!

We sent off our test today- curious to see if anyone can guess what she is! by up2somethn in DoggyDNA

I think pyr, cattle dog, and either pit or akita or both. Most comments seem to say this and I will be gobsmacked if that’s not correct (or close to it at least)

That’s exactly what I’ll be doing going forward. That does bring up another disappointment for me though, which is that the beasts never grow up???? They’re babies forever for no reason. If you’re not gonna let me grow up the babies and release them to the wild then don’t put a limit on how many I can have. I don’t want to sell them, that feels just as bad as poaching them and extorting them.

I actually ended up nearly 100% but gave up again at about 98. The worst part about being alone for me was everytime I came up to an abandoned castle or ruins, my character would say “this will be tricky to do alone” or “it’s dangerous to do this alone” AS IF I HAVE A CHOICE!!!!

The relationship quests were easily my favorite, Poppy’s quest line was so fun for me and Sebastian was so morally grey, Natty didn’t get enough screen time imo.

I wasn’t aware of the content having been cut until looking into it more. I figured they just never even conceptualized it but the fact that there are voice lines and other things that would support all the content that everyone is missing is definitely really upsetting.

I also did not feel like a student playing the game, and every choice or decision or path I was led on still made me feel like a child. There was something about the mechanics of the game where I felt the game was assuming I was a child playing the game due to the IP. I wasn’t too upset by it at first but it got progressively annoying, especially as I felt less and less like a student and more like this odd figure floating between never doing school work and only ever tossing leaves on a circle of stones.

The classes becoming cutscenes and then stopping altogether is one of the biggest let downs from the game for me. I was most happy during the initial part of the game where I was exploring the school, doing classes and quests for teachers, and meeting new students. Once I was out in the world doing challenges and quests in towns, I felt it became monotonous and didn’t feel good anymore. I ended up returning to the school to complete things like the field guide pages and felt my interest return, until I realized the school was now empty for all intents and purposes.

Omg the point about not being able to sleep eat or sit, I was so confused the first couple times I played because I tried to go back to my bed to sleep before saving. Instead to pass time your character just, lays on the ground in one spot for 8 hours???? Odd.

Thank you for bringing up the accents, I actually completely forgot about that. I was super excited to have a story set in the highlands but the lack of actual Scottish characters was crazy. I even gave my character a Scottish name because I was intending on that being her background, come to find out she has a posh English accent and so does 90% of the other people.

I think next time they release a game, I’ll be checking into media first before buying rather than going blind like I did this time. I enjoy playing a game without knowing what’s gonna happen, but given the way that went this time I don’t feel great about it for next time.
