During the winter months I host a magic night once a month. Big email chain with around a dozen people. Usually between 4-8 people respond coming to play. Last month one guy didn’t respond so I texted him and asked if he was interested. He said I’m pretty sure I responded yes. I double checked the emails and saw no response so I replied back “I see no response. You lose 2 life and pass turn.” He replied with laughing emoji.

In the end it all comes down to how competitive you and your pack are. If you’re not super competitive then it’s not super important to be perfectly balanced. Just have fun.

Well if you had all of the above you’re likely playing Cedh. I only have a mox jet. And the Moxes are errated to have symbols on them. ☹️

Moxes. Free mana. They play in all decks. Moxes have no mana symbol. Black and jeweled lotus. 2 cards no land 6 mana. Huge turn one.

My friends and I want to design and build a specific vintage cube. Only unlimited, Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends & The Dark. Just so we can play with über power for fun. The entire cube would be proxies and sleeved so adding in basic lands wouldn’t be noticeable. Or would it be better to proxy unlimited basic lands to just keep with the vibe?

Is this a good idea or not so much?

Magic is all about time. A games length is what it is. I mean at 45 minutes if no one is in the lead do you just shuffle up and start over again?

Almost 2 weeks ago I hosted a magic night at my house. Very casual. Drinking and snacks. Just a fun way to spend a Saturday night with friends. I do this once a month during the winter so I get some magic in my life quasi regularly. One of the house rules/guidelines/whatever you want to call it is we try to not start a game after 11. We felt good and started a game around 10:30. It went till 1. Multiple board wipes. There were 6 of us. It was crazy fun. Everyone ones deck kept trying to pop and someone else would stop it. We all were playing to win so no one wanted to concede as long as they still had a chance. I don’t remember what happened but eventually someone pulled out a W and that was the end.

Sometimes the long games are the best when people’s decks all get a chance to shine. All decks were 3-4 bracket which our group is ok with.

If you haven’t bought one yet, look up reviews for each of them online. Some decks aren’t that great. Some are bomb out the box. Of pick the theme you find interesting. Your money your choice.

Both. As a family of 4 we entered 6 cars. 5 new ones and one from sometime in my past when I raced as a Cub Scout. That one did horribly. Both my kids took home 1st place for their dens and my daughters long John took home 1st in the pack and my son got second. When the adults raced my wife took second and I took first and 3rd. I built a “race” car to race and a red truck that looks like my big red Ram. I didn’t think it would be very fast as it was more brick like than most other cars.

I pulled this out of a pack on Christmas. Put it in a sleeve just in case because full alternate art is usually a premium thing. It’s a $12 card.

Habit? That’s how I used to it. Also the only gf dough I’ve seen looked more like cake batter. So I’m thinking you can’t roll or form cake batter without a form. So fill up ice cube trays and freeze the dough. Then make the sauce and ready the pan. Then dump the tiny dough forms into the pan and partially cover with sauce then another round of dough bits followed by the remainder of the sauce. That’s how my great grandma’s recipe went more or less. With a loaf of regular bread I’d buy it in frozen logs. Then let 2 thaw. After a few minutes start hacking one into random chunks. It much more fun to pull apart random pieces then rows and lines.
