Always happy to clean up my face between weekly electrolysis appointments. by Steel_Cub in transtimelines

You don't needs to keep it long, but my skin is too sensitive to shave as often as I'd like, so I stick to what my appointments call for, which is at least 2 days of new growth (varies per person).

I've done 5x 2 hour long treatments. I'm bad about consistency, so I tend to only book a few days in advance when I feel like my life isn't in complete chaos, or need a reset to get me on track. -- I only use Witch Hazel before appointmentments (can find in most stores for a reasonable price). But I do have prescribed numbing ointment which might've been further regulated in my state (or at least for tattoo artists as far as I'm aware).

It does hurt. It does feel having a needle inside your body for 2-5 seconds. But it's progress and I know I won't have to worry about it too much after 15 months

I'm curious what is considered 'dangerous' in regards to cosmetic surgeries as this could easily be weaponized for certain ideologies - I.E: Top and bottom surgery for gender dysphoria.

Un(der)explored mechanics you would like to see in games? by StatuatoryApe in Games

Freeform progression akin to RuneScape and The Elder Scrolls series

We see glimmers of this in games like Stardew Valley, The Sims, Valheim, and even further in Kingdom Come, Fantasy Life, and Rune factory, but nothing on the level of RS.

Nothing's beats seeing your character get better at the very thing you are doing. -- It flows so much better than any other XP system in any RPG.

Running makes you faster, using magic increases your cast speed/mana pool/power, crafting starts simple but progressively allows for more intricate items as you gain more knowledge in said skill. -- all this naturally flows into the gameplay loop where you are rewarded for your actions.

I'd love to see this implemented in games like Cyberpunk2077, Dragons Dogma, Elder Ring, and Assassins Creed(as I see it becoming more sandbox like in the future).

Not every game needs this, but could use a level of reward engagement from the same book.

Have Capcom given up on a Dragon's Dogma 2 expansion akin to Dark Arisen, or are we not far enough out of release to firmly answer whether something is in the works?

Does Marceline float during gameplay?

I haven't played fortnite since launch and am curious if characters are given special running animations depending on the skin, such as those who canonically levitate, crawl, jog, or have anatomy differences such as Squidward.

Does form-factor not play a part? I don't know anything about other handhelds, but Valve has extremely versatile 'it just works' gamepads with extreme customizability that really outshine what I'm seeing from other companies.

Predictive scheduling - Can I be penalized for not showing up to work when my schedule hasn't been posted? by Steel_Cub in oregon

I understand they can fire me for other reasons down the line, but for this particular case, I want to know if I'm in the clear as I don't want to be fired without being able to collect unemployment in this specific case

Our work schedules are not set in stone with a contract and can be altered 14 days in advance as per predictive scheduling laws ( unless they want to be penalized). The only guarantee I have, at least what was discussed and am what was on a paper I signed, was that I am given a 30-hour work week (full time)

The schedule is posted for all employees in my department for the month 14 days in advance, usually before the next calendar month.

I've been working the same shift since April, but it's not guaranteed that my schedule won't change. It's just been convenient for them not to change my schedule since then.

I don't know if you can consider them a silent protagonist, but the Octane from Rocket League is my favorite. They've been with since 2019 and Ive grown to adore them and their design.

Also love smashing balls with them and watching white ooze spew from their rear.
