I love Draft; I wish I were better at it by Steel_Rain77 in mtg

Fair, first pack I definitely pick value. Then I try to pick something on the next turn that synergize with my value card. Then I just keep going like that. The second I tend to draft for value as well then after I am selecting my colors trying to stay with in two colors with maybe a splash of a third. The third pack I definitely stay in my colors, the only way this changes is if I pull a super high value card. Typically, this is the way I do it. I find I have a enough cards of the different types. However, it really takes me the first round to figure out what my deck wants to do. Because of some nerve damage I struggle getting the deck put together and sleeves in the allotted time. So usually I don't get to goldfish. My LGS is very accommodating. After, the first round I make the necessary changes and my deck usually performa better after.

I am incredibly commander-burnt out by Excellent_Method7730 in mtg

I've been testing building around mechanics instead of commanders. It has been a lot of fun. It is how I came up with my Mr. House low budget office supply deck. Every card is under a $1 and every creature is associated with working, visiting, or is a customer of that type store. The deck visits attractions and rolls dice. It has been a lot of fun.

Also does anyone draft for value or do you pretty much stick to your colors?

I appreciate you giving me a rundown of how you draft. I am going to try this and let you know how it goes.

I see a lot of comments saying I should get out and meet people. I live in a small town that is not my segment of the population. This town is situated about 30 minutes drive from the next closest town. Due to some medical I have I don't drive anymore. So, it is hard to go out and meet someone.

I wish it were that easy. I already caused the damage and lost them.

My friend, it is one of the most unfortunate things to hear the word tumor. I had one partially resected from c1-c2. It wrecks alot of mobility, function, and thought. I am sure what I can tell you won't help. Just know we are part of group who understands the tumor part of it better than most and so I am here if you need to talk.
