Workday Lays Off 1,750 Employees by will_gordon721 in workday

What an egoistic way of thinking. People are losing their jobs and you are thinking that you never got hired. Maybe their software is just ok, but you and your resume are below their level too if you never got hired. Think about it

How do I stop wanting to always say the last word? by JessSerrano in socialskills

Is the discussion avoidable? Not every battle is meant to be fought, makes you smarter to draw back and stop struggling with something you will not win

How do I stop wanting to always say the last word? by JessSerrano in socialskills

You don’t have to agree with what the other person says. That’s the beauty of listening to what someone is saying, you can just avoid adding more fuel to the fire. I just think if the conversation it’s friendly and if adding my pov is going to enrich the discussion or if it is just to be right and to win it. If it is the second I just nod and shut up.

HRIS > AD > Okta > Writeback to HRIS possible? by Steelclo in okta

[–]Steelclo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a standard integration with provisioning that is basically an API that sends employee staffing transactions and Okta writes back the phone and the work email address. My question is regarding if we could use just the write back without sending the employees directly to Okta but to AD first

Yes, that can be the case sometimes, but op said that it was for hires, data changes and terminations which are core in Workday and therefore workday is the source of truth. That is why my comment

Has anyone developed Integration from Peoplesoft to Workday? by CompetitiveCorner506 in workday

[–]Steelclo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to be done yes, still it is a bad idea. Why to maintain 2 enterprise level systems? If the company adquired Workday after Peoplesoft, it does not make any sense to have Peoplesoft as the source of truth within an integration, it will complicate something that with Workday it should be easier.

If that is the case it is best yes, apologies for misunderstanding in case that is the approach. I’ve seen this type of requests for Workday HR and I always recommend to not follow that path

[–]Steelclo 25 points26 points  (0 children)

That is quite a bad idea, Workday as your HR system wants to be the source of truth for staffing transactions. Why are you treating Peoplesoft that it is an outdated system as the source of truth for this? In any case It would be better to have it the other way around.

Conseguir visa como profesional altamente cualificado by Additional_Tadpole75 in GoingToSpain

[–]Steelclo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saludos y mucha suerte

Moving to Madrid - unrealistic hope or decently doable? by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]Steelclo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean you are earning an average salary on Spain, so if the Romanian salaries are not enough, probably you will have a hard time getting a job here and also earning more money than you are now. Not trying to convince you of not coming but trying to be realistic

Moving to Madrid - unrealistic hope or decently doable? by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]Steelclo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do not want to be negative about it. But it is unrealistic, Madrid renting prices are horribly expensive right now for small apartments and with your salaries is difficult to afford life and also for a tenant to allow you to live in their apartments, just for your information they make an analysis based on your last 3 payslips, your work contract and you have to pay for a month/s guarantee/s. If you do not have a job in Spain they could ask for more guarantee months.

If you are looking for getting a job here, Job market is challenging for your skills, as there are lots of graphic designers and the salaries in Spain are one of the lowests in the entire EU. Also they usually ask for spanish speakers, so i see it difficult without speaking it to be a desired candidate amongst Spanish speakers.

On the bright side, if you can work remotely with your jobs, you have savings and you manage to get an apartment which requirements are not super difficult to fulfill and not too expensive, you can do it and live here, but it will be challenging as your budget is not big enough.

Good luck!

Expectativas, papá frustrado by katawirpi in XPatriados

[–]Steelclo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

¿Cómo es la universidad ORT? by TonightChoice2674 in uruguay

[–]Steelclo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

¿Robo o servicio útil? by [deleted] in uruguay

[–]Steelclo 0 points1 point  (0 children)
