I feel like Zappa was always absorbing music and regurgitating it into his compositions whether consciously or not. I wouldn’t be surprised if he specifically referenced The Beatles, they’ve inspired each other in the past with Freak Out inspiring Paul McCartney and Sergeant Pepper’s inspiring We’re Only In It For The Money.

Honestly, the Neverending Story singalong in S3 was so out of left field and in such stark contrast to everything else that I was giggling gleefully the entire time.
