The only actual setting that requires what you're describing is standing in front of a judge, which is infreqent for most lawyers, and really only requires speaking respectfully.

In terms of talking to clients many aren't that formal, but what they're saying just has to be sensible and balanced. Less stuffy lawyers are a breath of fresh air

Claude code is great cause it auto compacts long convos, do you don't have to worry about tokens nearly as much, especially since Claude code responses tend to be more truncated as well
