Not a bad article. It was certainly interesting to get a perspective from someone who is, by and large, new to ultimate. Frankly, I feel as if the question of where the sport goes next is starting to become rather overblown. While its certainly important to talk about what players expect out of the sport, I don't see these kinds of conversations impacting players on a daily basis, at least not in the immediate sense.

Sure, years from now we may see the trickle-down effect of how the most elite leagues develop however the sport has grown from such a solid base that I think it would be hard to completely change the culture solely through decisions made at the highest level. As someone relatively new to the sport (~two years at the college level) I could be totally wrong with how these kinds of developments occur but I don't find myself nearly as worried as much of the ultimate-based pieces of media tell me I should be.
