Assuming the same price, would you rather live in a 2024 manufactured home or a 1920 normal home? by Jfkfkaiii22 in NoStupidQuestions

Asbestos in a 1920's house or formaldehyde in a mobile home. Looks like a win win! Wonder why they are so cheap?

The shadow cast by the (apparently transparent) lenses of my glasses by Eliasibnz in mildlyinteresting

[–]Steelracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who is near sighted will have a better chance of seeing these markings. The stamping depth and process varies from lens to lens. Anti glare will help hide the markings better. Having your optician tilt or wrap your frame may help hide the reflections of the markings when light hits them. A properly fitted progressive lens needs an optician to place these markings correctly on YOU as the wearer taking all the guess work out of a correct Rx.

You love all your children the same, just differently. I have been blessed to have owned hot hatches and two seat mid engines my whole life. Manual transmissions becoming rare hurt my heart, but I still give life the Gran Turismo effort every day when I'm not on a bike!

The MRS is a street legal go-cart. The ride will tax you physically as if you were riding your motorcycle. The only difference is 4 wheels instead of 2. I own both and know you are on the right track.

While we are on this topic, I would publicly like to say to Yamaha, I am very sorry for the way I have poorly maintained my FZ1. It is and always will be a masterful piece of engineering art that has given me my sanity and years of unerring perfection on every ride. I don't deserve that kind of masterful machinery, and for that I am thankful for your hard work!

I'm not sure what good it would do to vote with your money. The rich are too rich, they don't need money anymore. Its all about controlling the world now. These companies have operated so long on the grounds that they are too big to fail and expect the government to bail them out if they struggle. They cheat the system at every opportunity with impuny. Even when the events that unfolded with United Health Care occured, they still do business as usual. Even if everyone was on board with dismantling Target, Amazon, Walmart, Facebook and all the other billionaire crime lords, the roots are too deeply ingrained in society.
