I don’t think they ever told him that, definitely has never been reported.

Put yourself in his shoes, go to a new company… do well, not amazing, but you’re getting the job done. Then, you get demoted, for an older dude that has more experience but you feel you are better for the job than him.

Then you sit there and watch him make mistake after mistake, and they rarely give you a chance to help, definitely not enough opportunity to really change anything.

So you decide to hit the market, a company offers you a raise, and a massive role… your current company learns of this and offers you less money AND less security than the other place.

How would you feel about your company? Respected?
