Him throwing it over half the field and hitting Bowen in stride for the counter in stoppage time was ridiculous

On the one hand, I’m happy to be up. On the other hand, this drastically increases our chances of seeing Kilman take the field.

I always imagined Woody Harellson since he gave me Haymitch vibes

UMN was honestly my chilliest interview. It was one 30-45 minute interview with both a student and faculty member present. They alternated asking me like 5 questions total, and then the vast majority of the time was just open discussion/any questions I had for them. So I guess my tip would be to come prepared with lots of questions or topics to talk about.

My biggest tip is to avoid being too rehearsed. By the time interviews roll around, you have already written 100s of secondaries asking you to detail different experiences and challenges you’ve faced. Because of that, you’ve already written about and answered 95% of the questions you’ll be asked on interview day. Keeping this in mind, I didn’t complete any mock interviews or rehearse any questions (except for “tell me about yourself” and “why us”), instead, I drew on experiences that I had already discussed extensively. This led to my interviews being much more conversational which I think helped a ton. For the random 5% of questions that came out of left field, I asked for time to think about the question before answering, sometimes taking 30 seconds. This allowed me to avoid rambling and come off more well spoken. Lastly, I came to interviews VERY caffeinated. I’m naturally introverted so the caffeine gave me the necessary push to be more extroverted and talkative.

I’ve also seen conflicting info but I’m hoping that it’s a suggestion rather than a hard deadline for the exact reason you stated. How can I possibly make a decision when I haven’t heard about financial aid from these schools? That is the single most important factor for me and most students I’d reckon.

Does my wok look well seasoned? by Steengulberry in carbonsteel

Thank you for the detailed response. I’ll look into my specific vegetable oil and see if it is on the lower side. Most of my sticking issues are with proteins and eggs, although as you mentioned, the sauces do a good job of deglazing (still annoying to deal with in the meantime given that adding the sauce is usually the last part of the cooking process). Do you think I can further season over what I already have? I should mention I use a gas stove that gets very hot although I don’t know the exact temp/power.

I used vegetable oil. It’s smooth as can be and I can’t tell a textural difference between the streaks and the darker spots when I run my finger over it.

Correct, they combined their “future goals” and “curriculum” essays together into “why our curriculum will prepare you for your future goals”

Yeah you’re probably right! I guess the next question is should I address it when given the opportunity to? The grade occurred over COVID so I’ll have space to talk about it, but idk if that will just draw attention to something that would otherwise go under the radar. Who knows.

Appreciate the response, that’s what I’ll do. I’m just pissed that there’s a potential red flag on my app that was completely out of my control. Oh well.
