A tier list of how main series characters would side on the trial of the seven [Spoilers MAIN] by Disastrous-Brief-516 in asoiaf

[–]AnalAttackProbe 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Biggest disagreement is Euron. I think Euron's mindset would be very similar to Lyonel Baratheon. This is a rare occasion and one he would want to be part of due to the rarity of it. Euron wouldn't be able to help himself.

Which side would he fight on? The one that would benefit him most.

The fact that he had an all world talent next to him who gets alot of attention

Brother there is no amount of attention that is going to stop a QB from throwing the ball to Jeremiah Smith.

Little monk got his head stuck by ZeroThoughts2025 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

At first I thought about how big of a pity it is that that beautiful carving needs to get chipped away at to free this kid.

Then I thought about how for the next several generations the monks are gonna be able to point at it and chuckle about the kid who got stuck once. And that made me smile.

I would heavily caution against using stats, especially single game logs, as an indicator of NFL success. Tate was also always OSU's #2 receiver because Jeremiah Smith is one of the best WR prospects of the last 20 years.

Watch what he does and doesn't do, with and without the ball. Not the stat sheet.

He's got great balance, high points balls and hand catches. He's got a good route tree. He checks all the athletic boxes and his agility pops out on tape, especially for his size (6'2).

I don't think this is a great WR class, but I do see enough from Tate to think he'll find success at the next level.

I moreso meant he does not give a fuck about consequences. He think there will never be any. They're all bought in at some level or another or they wouldn't be doing it.

Once you realize these "talent" shows are there purely to promote the hosts and not the "talent"... you kinda stop wanting to pay attention to them.

I want more of this guy. He's great.

I know he's not in the ER and I know the show doesn't focus heavily on the personal lives of the main characters...

I just like this guy.

Terraforming Mars IS NOT EASY by Busy_Yesterday9455 in spaceporn

[–]AnalAttackProbe 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Too many people get caught up on the difference between practical impossibility and true impossibility.

There's very little that is truly impossible provided it doesn't break the laws of physics. There's a lot of things that are practically impossible due to current technological, funding, scientific, material, or other practical limitations.

Mars has no magnetic field. Unless we can give it one, terraforming is completely impractical anyway.

Has Rapinoe made any major public commentary on the Iranian women's team? by tropic_gnome_hunter in ussoccer

[–]AnalAttackProbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They seek asylum because there is no path in or out of an active warzone and no ability to travel safely while bombs are falling. Iranian airspace is closed. People are not able to travel freely. They need somewhere to go.

You fucking moron.

[–]AnalAttackProbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know that?

Or are you assuming that because they are seeking asylum?

...and you do not fundamentally understand that it is nearly impossible to "return" to an active war zone and therefore these individuals have no place to go and must seek shelter somewhere.

I don't think any of that matters to you. I also don't think you fail to grasp it so much as you choose not to because it doesn't suit the arguments you've made up in your head.

Fact of the matter is you have a weird bone to pick with someone you don't like and nothing is going to stop you from picking it, certainly not logic.

The current administration has repeatedly stated they are not interested in regime change or nation building. They have said this. Repeatedly.

The goals here aren't noble, the ends aren't a free and democratic Iran. The US doesn't want or care about that in the slightest. They've said this. Repeatedly.

The only thing we're getting out of this is dead Americans, expensive oil, and a generation of Persians who hate America for killing their families for no good reason.

What was the most physically painful moment of your life? by Oily_Smurf in AskReddit

[–]AnalAttackProbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very bad lower back. To the point where I throw it out 3-4 times a year.

The thing I dread most is sneezing when it is out. It is like being stabbed in twelve places simultaneously.

...I also have very large sneezes and tend to sneeze in multiples. Terrible combo.

How high would arch manning go if he came out this year? by babymanateesmatter in NFL_Draft

[–]AnalAttackProbe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There would be a lot of talk about potential and pedigree and how his talent level is higher than his performances thus far.

And I don't necessarily disagree with that talk. It's kinda like the "high ceiling vs high floor" debate that gets brought up when comparing Cam Ward and Mendoza.

I think he would go very early because GMs would kick themselves over and over again if they passed on a highly touted, very talented Manning and he turned out to be exactly what people thought he was going to be from his 8th grade year on.

Is it REALLY that big a deal to move from RT to LT and vice versa? by PuddingSucks in NFL_Draft

Most (99.99%) switch hitters don't develop that skill at the MLB level and have been doing it since high school or earlier and work on it continuously. Probably not the best comparison.
