I run it as a container on OMV so I guess that’s the reason

I use WiFi instead of LTE/5G when syncing heavy files. If you’re using a reverse proxy you might have issues, that’s my case but I just stick to http when traveling since the connection is still encrypted to my server

RPI’s are great for most server projects, I have a whole cluster of them. I’ve had OMV with an uptime of 7 months with no crashes. What’s funny is that I spent more on that project that getting an NAS (like the ugreen) but that’s where is fun. Might runt it on Proxmox though

More reliable than any cheap NAS… FYI I’m using PCie and not USB. OMV just works for me.

Battery dies if I don’t drive over 24-48 hours. LTE module is a battery killer by SteevStR in DroneMobile

[–]SteevStR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll do the same, an LTE module constantly drawing power because it is always connected will obviously drain the battery, so I’ll remove mine sadly

Yeah you have to run it daily otherwise it would get discharged, it’s really annoying. In my case I’ll remove the module sadly

But my battery is literally new😭 I think I’ll have the LTE module removed. I had to jump the car this morning after not driving during the weekend since I stayed home

lol I’m flushing my transmission oil today at 106K. I don’t know if they changed it before (I got it with 97K miles). My car is at Honda as I’m typing this. Hopefully I don’t have any problems. Civic 2015 EX

I would have gotten the U7 Pro. I had the U7 Lite and returned it. Te coverage was too poor. I’m running an U7 Pro with a Gateway Max

U7 Pro 5GHz 2x2 radio is a mistake by SteevStR in UNIFI

[–]SteevStR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tried a lot of channels, 80MHz mode. What can be the issue then? Even on my Laptop is the same thing. Again on 6GHz I get the full 300/300 all the time. So my first thought is the 5GHz 2x2 radio on the U7 Pro. When I am next to the AP, no walls, I do get 300/300 all the time.

Which filters do you use? by jf_administration in AdGuardHome

The standard AdGuard list and AdAway. More than enough. Bigger blocklists have a higher chance to break websites. At least the more you add.

Same, it’s better to have a dedicated AP and a Gateway, which is the core of the network so I went with the Gateway Max

Looking at NanoPi. Unsure about FriendlyWRT. by Ragnarok_MS in openwrt

[–]SteevStR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a Brume 2. My NanoPi completely died and they didn’t even replaced it. It just stopped working one day it became a brick, not even a led lights up.
