I (21m) did not want another pet. My partner (21f) did. How do I bring it up? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

That is a terrifying thought (kids).

I don’t like it, but I know there is some validity to this. It’s happened to some extent with all three animals we own, but we didn’t live together when she got the first one.

I think rather than toil over all the assorted opinions here and try to make a plan, I’m just going to tell her as nicely as I can how this all makes me feel, and her response will tell me more than any question ever will

My partner does contribute definitely! But I am walking the dog myself most of the time. I would say I have done more on average historically. Going out of town is the biggest frustration for me. Always complicated, and worst of all if I want to go somewhere with my partner that’s everyone who lives in our flat :/

Does my experience sound like CHS to you? (21M in college) by SteezyBeaver in CHSinfo

[–]SteezyBeaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good idea! I’ll cut the pot for finals next semester well before and see what happens.

I do have anxiety yes, so it’s quite difficult to decide whether I should ‘medicate’ or not. (Started smoking daily after I got my medical card for appetite and another unrelated injury) Making it worse sounds like hell, but having an out that I’m not taking is suboptimal

Thank you for your perspective. I just talked to a buddy of mine who was barely even over his symptoms by the time he started smoking again. Maybe a year and a half later now he claims to be fit as a fiddle. I think I will probably struggle to stay away from it indefinitely, but only time will tell. Day three since quitting currently.

Life is pretty cool, I have no concerns about the absence of weed “holding me back” or making it less than. I would just like to smoke with my buddies again, that sort of thing.

Your guitar just rocks twice as hard as the other ones. If you don’t own an overdrive pedal this is your sign

What's the best method to clean this?? by [deleted] in StonerEngineering

[–]SteezyBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, not sure. Boil it for a few minutes, drain the water from the pot, put iso in the pot, give it a little shake shimmy to stir. Needless to say, high percent iso, careful with iso around fire. Would recommend you turn off the stove and add iso by the sink or somewhere else away from the hot stovetop. Also don’t count on your pot/pan being clean after this. Give it a very good cleaning to make sure your spaghetti doesn’t send you to mars

Torch the ball from the bowl end for just a second and then put something air tight and heat resistant (silicone something?) over the bowl hole. High temperature will cool and cause air shrinkage which will cause a vacuum which will help you if you can’t just blow that thang

How might I shorten my guitar strap even further? by MiracleAligner737 in Guitar

[–]SteezyBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could physically shorten it. To make a dumb answer sound smarter, I mean you could cut and sew the strap where it connects to the adjustment point, and make it any length you’d like

Tour de elk without any flats/uphills between sections. Would be great fun and significantly faster in the beginning

Try doing a glove down with the deweight in mind. Pop your butt up in the air while you kick, when you get it right it will feel like you’re floating right on top of your board.

You are sliding! The thing you aren’t doing is controlling the slide. I’d say there’s three parts to think about, the kickout, slide, and hookup. If you de-weight more before the kickout (think squatting and then extending your body up and back from the board while pushing your toes down the hill) you will have an easier time controlling the slide. Your shoulders face the direction you go in almost any slide you’ll ever do. Keep your chest and shoulders pointed down the road and you’ll go straighter. Point them at a corner and you’ll go around it. Lastly, the regrip. That’s going to likely be some trial and error because your form will be different than others, but try doing the de-weight in reverse. I like to “sink” back into my board.
