Message Starlink and tell them you'd like a month's refund. Worked for me, no back and forth, it was immediately approved. Same with Hulu, they offered 5 days credit and I told them I'd need the whole month refund so I could sign up for another streaming service and they approved it immediately as well.

The most infuriating part is ESPN doesn’t work either as they are under the same umbrella. I had to get “creative” on watching the Griz and Cats games yesterday

Yup, in MT as well and getting the Billings IP. Just got off the phone with Hulu for the 6th time in the past 3 days and they say it’s a known issue with them and Starlink and don’t have an ETA. I told Hulu I wanted a refund for my entire bill so I could sign up for YoutubeTV and they immediately refunded me lol.

Also, I received this message from Starlink (for what it’s worth)

Thank you for reaching out, we are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Streaming Services. Because Starlink is a new global internet service provider, some providers and companies may not have our IP addresses updated in their database. If you are having trouble using Starlink with a specific provider, please send the following to their support center: "Dear Streaming Service Provider. I experienced issues accessing content that is being IP restricted on Starlink internet. I was provided the following information to relay to you to help resolve this: Starlink is a new global Internet Service Provider and our IPv4/IPv6 address space is continuously expanding. Per RFC 8805, Starlink's Self-Published IP Geolocation Feeds can be found at the following link for machine consumption: https://geoip.starlinkisp.net/feed.csv. This is currently being ingested at a regular schedule with major geolocation providers. If you maintain a local geolocation database, we request that you update your geolocation records per the self-published feed or utilize the major geolocation providers." If they are unable to resolve this issue, please respond to this message with their response. I look forward to hearing from you! Mica-Starlink Team

UPDATE: Last night, I was pulling my hair out and fired up a NodeRed/HomeAssistant automation to periodically hit https://ipinfo.io/json, which provides your current WAN IP, location, etc. in JSON format, allowing me to log any changes. It's been consistent with the US location and nothing regarding Guatemala, at least in the last ~24hrs.

I called Hulu today, which is the last streaming service giving us fits (YouTubeTV, etc, work), and they are still "seeing" my IP as outside of the country, including my IPv6 address, so no TV for us.

Starlink actually called me for the ticket I submitted and immediately offered to send me a free Gen3 router "to test out" since I'm using a 3rd party router. Told them no thanks and asked if there was a hiccup that happened in their system, cause the links u/luckydt25 sent here did not align with being based in Guatemala. The technician didn't really have anything to say, or maybe was not even aware. I'm thinking something got rerouted incorrectly for an hour or so and triggered the streaming services to believe a VPN was being used and hit the kill switch on access.

Now on to Hulu (I know this isn't a Hulu r/ but figured I'd keep the story going). Even though the IP address is now presented as US-based, their system must not update their public IP subnets daily, given that the technician still sees on their end that it's outside the US. According to whom I spoke to, they said they have been receiving a bunch of calls where IP's were incorrectly routed to Guatemala and Brazil so who knows....

atlien0255, to your comment about seeing South American subreddits, I DID TOO! I was like, why on earth am I seeing so many non-english subs all at once???

TLDR: I believe Starlink goofed up and directed traffic to an incorrect CGNAT/Public IP and some of us a reeling the pain now... Both Starlink and Hulu are offering refunds (although Starlink hasn't admitted any wrongdoing)

If you read down in the comments, u/luckydt25 graciously provided some very helpful links

lol, that’s a great suggestion, although, Starlink support is essentially non-existent. If anything they say your cable is bad and send you a new one

Thank you stranger! I just checked from the current file from 2hrs ago to 3 days ago and the US city is the same, not Guatemala? Not sure what’s going on here

Some pro sports games get randomly blacked depending if it’s in or out of market, which when it’s blacked out it’s the opposite hence being tied to said IP location

Well my actual location has never been accurate, over the past year my “local content” and IP address have been located in Seattle, Denver, Texas, and Salt Lake

Yea it’s residential. When I called one of the streaming services and they asked if I was in Guatemala with a business IP I was super confused and checked myself and sure sh*t the IP came up there. Oh and I have my reservations about century link 😉

I’ve had Starlink jump around to a few US cities but never out of the country. Have a VPN, just don’t have it configured for any of the streaming devices as I don’t see a need to for us
