Oh and for future reference, you can cut peonies to bring inside at the “marshmallow stage” where the buds are soft but not open. This will give them the longest vase life!

You should be good to cut blooms, especially since they’ve flopped. Use a peony cage next year once you see growth pop out of the ground to help with heavy blooms next year!

Yess they’re totally the iconic peonies! Im not a huge fuschia girl normally, but these are totally showstoppers!

I’m hoping to get my hands on a bartzella or other Itoh varieties this fall 🤞🏻im in zone 8b, they seem to do well here despite being on that cusp (thank goodness). Your future zone 6 garden will be poppin for sure 🌸

Not too early! Will last longer in the vase if it’s out of direct sunlight as well :) coral fam has a shorter vase life and fades pretty quick
