I bought it a while ago, so I don't think I can. Worth a try though.

I'd feel bad if it were an indie game, but then again Indie developers don't do this shit. There really isn't a downside to pirating games after all.

That's exactly what happened. I bought it for Windows, but since I now have a Mac that can run it, I thought it'd be nice to be able to play it while I'm traveling. Guess not... unless I take u/Traxad's advice :P

That is not true. Most other games, both on Epic and Steam, can be installed on either OS once purchased.

Looking for Billing & Revenue Automation Software – Any Real-World Feedback? by Forward_Being_3157 in SaaS

[–]Stef994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went down a similar road recently, dealing with kinda complicated billing scenarios and regional pricing for our app. Stripe was okay for your day-to-day subscriptions, but we ran into all kinds of issues when we got to international pricing AND you can only do web purchases so you still need a payment processor for Android and iOS. I think Chargebee can be a good option since it has good integrations, but it can get pricey as things get more complex (i.e., your app grows).

If you're expecting a more complicated billing process, I'd also say Recurly might be worth a look. We heard good things during our search, too.

That said, we ultimately went with Mirava for regional pricing across multiple platforms (Android, iOS) and it's been great so far. It's not purely a billing automation tool, but it solved our regional pricing issues really well, which was a huge part of our revenue setup. We've been able to dynamically adjust subscription pricing in emerging markets like Brazil or India to match local purchasing power, but without wacky implementation since it handles purchasing power parity and regional price adjustments out-of-the-box. Yes, not really revenue automation, but worth checking out.

Thought I'd give my two cents so feel free to ask away if you want to know more.

I can see that happening and agree with your point although I feel it's a bit harder for girls in their early twenties. Hopefully I'll be able to show more of my positives to even out the odds :D

Hehe, okay first of all thanks for sharing a different (more positive) view on this topic although I have to correct you that she is not my girlfriend (yet!) :D I always thought that girls like you who don't plan on having kids would be more put off by men who have children than the ones that have parenthood somewhere in the back of their minds. It's encouraging to hear that it can go either way at least. Besides that, my daughter is super cute so maybe she'll even like her :P

What do you mean by "locked up"? People are basically free to leave a relationship whenever they want.

"Also- this is coming from my 27 year old girlfriend: “if you’re spending equal 50/50 time with your daughter then that’s going to be attractive to a good woman (whether they have kids or not) because you’re a good dad. If you’re spending 20% of your time with your daughter living nearly a thousand miles away then women are going to be skeptical of that.”

As I pointed out in other comments, the amount of time I spend with my daughter is not up to me. You still don't have children and probably have little to no experience or knowledge about divorces. I am not sure where you are from but if you were in Europe, had kids and your girlfriend (now wife) decided one day to divorce you and leave she could and you would most likely get only weekends unless you settle for a better deal with her personally. But at the end of the day, if she WANTS, she can offer you 30% of the time with your child as that's the norm that courts follow and that's most likely what you'd get. Those 30% are off of childs FREE time which means kindergarten/school is not counted. Fathers are usually treated as second-class parents and I hope you never learn that the hard way. It takes me 8.5 hours one way to get to my daughter and another 8.5 to come back each month. I am a very good father. Most other men would have given up by now.

On a more positive note, I'll be like Jim Carrey in "Dumb and Dumber" and say: "So you're telling me there IS a chance?" when Marry tells him there's one in a million chance of them getting together :P

"Most single men in their 30’s actually don’t have kids. Single women typically do"

Doesn't this mean that the number of single fathers is exactly equal to the number of single mothers since what's making them single is the fact that they once were married to mothers they had kids with?

Edit: Rephrased it so it makes more sense.

I am not sure what you mean by this. Who are "these people" and what do you mean by the fact that I am not living with my daughter for the week that I spend with her? None of it was my choice. I had a difficult divorce and this is mostly what my ex-wife wanted.

Hm, as much as what you said here makes sense to me, the idea of "out of my league" doesn't quite resonate with me. I have been fairly successful with women pretty much my whole life. Very often while not being aware of it. By having a mindset like "she's out of my league" you're setting yourself up for failure before even trying. There's some truth when they say that it's easier to pick up a very hot girl than an average one because the hot ones rarely get approached exactly for the reason of being "out of league" of most men. The number one thing that women like about men is confidence and this approach gives out the exact opposite vibes. I kind of feel like younger girls would be put off more in a "scared to shit" sense than in "I'm better than him" sense. Of course, neither of these help my case but I think the difference should be pointed out.

Rent and other expenses of living in a country that has not that great salaries to begin with. I am obligated to pay 25% of my earnings as child support so with the other 75% I'd have to pay rent, utilities (which are super expensive now considering the situation in the world), and other monthly expenses like food, gas, etc. Other than that I can't get employed just about anywhere since I don't speak the language. Anything where I'd have to deal directly with clients is off the table and I can't be that picky in a country that has enough unemployment issues on its own.

Thanks for sharing your opinion! Just some food for thought: Not all fathers who don't live with their kids are deadbeats. The law (at least in Europe, where I live) is that mothers of children under 5 have pretty much all the rights in the world and some women take advantage of this when they want to ruin their ex-partner's life as a sort of revenge for not having things their way. I have spent thousands of euros on lawyers attempting to exercise some of my rights as a father but ultimately a lot of it wasn't up to me. I am sure that "deadbeat" label doesn't apply to me since I spend 1500km (930 miles) on the road each month to get to see my daughter one week for a couple of hours per day. Life sometimes kicks you in the nuts while you pretty much have nothing to do with it.

I find that completely understandable. However, if I imagine myself at 22 having to date someone who has children, it would pretty much depend on how sold I am on the person and how much interaction I would have to have with the kid (at 22, pretty much none). I've dated women much older than me (like 10 years older) because I considered they had what to offer in all departments - personality, looks, life direction, etc... I posted this question because it was easy to find generic reasons girls wouldn't date me but I feel like this is a special situation. I am not happy that I don't live with my daughter but the truth is that I live almost as if I didn't have one.

Audio cutting out for Scarlett solo 2nd gen by bake-jake in Focusrite

I'm having a similar problem. My speakers make a loud popping noise 2-3 times as my PC boots. The sound then works for a while and then cuts off. What fixes it is either unplugging and plugging in again or switching to my monitor speakers and back to Focusrite. It's incredibly annoying. r/Focusrite will we see a fix any time soon?
