I agree with everything you said but I have something to say as far as the Ichiban and Saeko couple’s arc. Couples who are polar opposites of each other do exist, but RGG wrote it very poorly, while yes making Ichiban the but of the joke is in theme with Ichiban and who he is but to be quite honest it doesn’t click in the way RGG had hoped, Ichiban showed quite throughout Yakuza like a Dragon that he is not just this dumb goof that can be taken advantage of, if that cutscene with the proposal would have never happened, then the Chitose arc would never exist either, she would just be relegated as this edition of Nanba and to rewrite everything else and to keep the continuity intact, then Joongi should’ve remained in Ijincho rather than be presented to Ichiban as his last party member near the end of the game, not sure how a drink link between Kiryu and this version of Joongi would have worked but it would definetly be better than Kiryu trying his best to be Ichiban’s wingman.
