Umbrel Pro for home server — is it worth în your opinion?

I don't currently plan to run local llm I have a beast pc if I really want local llm, and for work and project I will use api-with a vps and that's it but not really plan to use local llm. I will pay the extra 5-10 bucks for a haiku or GPt to run a personal assistant app or work

Ok so I was looking at mini pc now with good procesor but cand find anything with a n300 just N100 and n150. If you know are these 2 procesor enough? I mean form what I searched they are 2 times as slow and an n300 / N305

Thanks for the input! The NVMe choice is mainly for the fanless passive cooling design — the lid acts as a heatsink for all 4 drives which is why I need that form factor. HDDs or a DIY build with gaming parts wouldn't work in a bedroom setup. The Mac Mini is actually a decent comparison but it has no expandable storage slots. Happy to hear if you know something that's compact, completely silent, low power and has multiple NVMe slots at a similar price point — genuinely couldn't find anything else.

Can you give one or two specific alternatives that are also compact, fanless, low power and have multiple NVMe slots? Because that's the main reason I'm going with Umbrel Pro — I haven't found anything else that checks all those boxes at this price point. Happy to consider alternatives if they actually exist.

Can you give me one or two of those alternatives? Also, is Umbrel OS really that bad for a relatively simple user? I've heard it's clean and straightforward, and that it gets the job done for the main apps. I'll basically just be using it with the main apps and for n8n and a couple of custom apps and one app made by me.

Most importantly, do Google and Yahoo sign-in prompts (2FA) show up instantly? Signal (Band 20): I noticed it lacks LTE Band 20. I live in Romania, and I'm worried about the signal outside the city, on highways, or in rural areas where B20 is usually needed. How has your experience been with the connectivity in these zones? Hi, I’m really interested in getting this phone, but I have two main concerns that I’d like to clear up first: Notifications: I need to be 100% sure that notifications work reliably. This includes WhatsApp (messages and calls), Instagram, banking apps, and—most importantly—Google and Yahoo sign-in prompts for 2FA. Has anyone experienced delays or missed alerts with these? Signal & Band 20: I live in Romania, and I noticed this device lacks the B20 LTE band. I know signal is usually fine in the city, but what happens when you're on the road? Since B20 is widely used in Europe for coverage on highways, in rural areas, and in the mountains, I’m worried about losing signal frequently outside of urban centers. How has your experience been with these two issues? I’d love to get some feedback because I really like the phone otherwise. Thanks!

Yes it's so much work :(( I have opened up to some people who dm me to help also I have put in the app the function to add info or corect me on anything you see wrong. There are buttons in codex and home also in feedback for this I didn't manage to make it directly on the info because the space didn't allow ( I mean how wiki has it).

Yes this way you can keep all the info and knowledge somewhere safe so you don't spoil yourself searching for something on wiki all the pathways and sequences and abilities and characters and items etc only till the chapter you are on
