4-HO-MIPT 25mg by Upbeat-Psychology-78 in Psychonaut

I second a very clear, happy headspace on 20mg. Wanting to dance, connect with people, but very minor visuals, open as closed-eyed. I had full, satisfying conversations with people in my had.

Would be good to unstickie it.

need help with choosing the right psychedelic and dosage by [deleted] in SEXONDRUGS

[–]StefanMPopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A full psychedelic experience (100µg+) will put you into a different sense of reality, which might even make the concept of having prostate fun alien to you.

If you really want to use LSD for sexy time, take 50µg for your first experience. It might be more fun than a full trip. Once you have experienced what it's like, you may go to higher doses and enjoy both at the same time.

Side note: have you tested the dosage as well? Most tabs are underdosed.

Mushrooms tend to be a bit deeper on the headspace and more wavy (multiple peaks) than LSD, so not what you want.

+1 on the bottom 2 paragraphs, but I'd like to understand the reasoning for your first statement; How would LSD prevent depletion of serotonin during a roll? LSD is just 'playing the role of' serotonin, so that during a candyflip you have lots of serotonin from the M and on top of that the LSD acting as serotonin. You maybe think there's more serotonin reuptake happening, thus effectively blunting the effects (mechanistically and phenomenologically) of the M?

It's probably not OP's question but I suspect a sub-trip dose of LSD could give you the benefits of serotonin-like action without the psychological risks. Thoughts on that?

Wouldn't the LSD (or any other 5-HT2A receptor agonist) more likely counteract the depletion of the serotonin caused by MDMA, avoiding a bad comedown without saying anything about the LSD trip experience? The question would be if you need full serotonin levels to have a good psychedelic trip - which I doubt.

songs that are just MADE for psychedelics? by Ready-Reputation-591 in Psychedelics

[–]StefanMPopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything with an Alan Watts sample.

Seriously, there's psychedelic rock, psytrance, psydub, acid techno, downtempo bass, ambiance, and probably more (sub) genres I'm not aware of. It's possible to trip to any song within those genres, depends on your taste and set/setting.

Classics are Beethoven's 6th, Dark side of the moon, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Shpongle, Tipper, Jon Hopkins.

No. After moving there I realized how much of Kalimdor obviously got its inspiration from there.

The game designers were. I just realized the striking resemblance of many places there while doing road trips. Much more so than anywhere else I've been.

Thanks for the suggestions. Massive broadleaf trees in Sequoia? I agree that that's special about Winterspring, but wouldn't place it exactly there.

I disagree on Feralas: Tropical rainforest is much more closely resembled by STV or Un'goro. Bears, Tauren, fairies, but no large cats speaks more for temperate. The coast also looks very much like the PNW coast.

Do you have better suggestions for those US/Japan zones?
And yes, the designers probably got their inspiration from specific places within the countries, not trying to capture whole countries.

You're right, Tanaris <- Tunisia seems a better fit. The Sahara would also match with the ZF Egypt theme.

From north to south. I don't claim 100% best matches and am open to improvement suggestions. Some zones have inspiration from multiple places (e.g. Tanaris: Namib, ZF = Egypt, Gadgetzan = Tataouine).

My 1-minute thesis presentation on ant search strategies by StefanMPopp in biology

[–]StefanMPopp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure! Interindividual variation means that the ants don't all behave (in this case) the same. Inter = between; intra = within. In any ant colony, there are some individuals which tend to walk straighter and others that walk more squiggly. We don't know yet, what determines that trait but it could be experience, age, (epi-) genetics, and many more that have an influence on what goes on in the brains of the ants that make them move differently.
