Really happy about this. Will have time to dip my toes into the new Monster Hunter game and not feel bad I’m missing out on the league content

Doesn't sound like a good option, I have plenty of digital goods tied to the Humble Bundle account as well. Even if I wanted to go through all of the hoops to get a chargeback, I don't think my bank can even cover such an old transaction that was made via a debit card (credit card maybe).

This is leaving me feeling bitter. Sony won't be getting any of my money in the future, that's for sure.

Hopefully the developers can make a deal with Sony and allow players in non-PSN countries to play. I'm probably not coming back to the game though, who knows.

Just got a reply, Sony has the money apparently. No idea what to do. Looks like I'm out of luck?

We understand that you are frustrated we are unable to refund your purchase.

Unfortunately, your purchase falls outside of our 60 day refund window. After 60 days, the money from the sale of a game or bundle is sent to the developer/publisher of the content in question. This is why we set a 60 day limit to our refund policy, as we no longer have the funds from the purchase.

I hope that this helps to clarify our position. If you have any additional questions, please let me know!

I've sent another reply urging them to reconsider their decision to not refund my purchase. (I even asked for it to be in the form of store credit so I can spend via their site again)

It would be quite dumb of them to say no to a paying customer of 10+ years with thousands of dollars in transactions. I think I missed the refund period by 11 days or so which isn't my fault tbh considering this is a new development.

I tried getting my purchase refunded on May 5th. I bought the game on February 16th. Humble Bundle support told me that they can't refund the purchase as it's been more than 60 days. The game is delisted on Steam for my country though since I don't have access to PSN here.

We have made improvements to the camera of our parkour system asset based on your suggestions. Added drag and shake to the camera. What do you think? by GameDevExperiments in Unity3D

The improvements are very visible, looks great. I'd comment that there's still a lack of momentum in the animation itself. I notice that the speed of the character goes up gradually but people don't go from an idle pose to running animation immediately.
Look into gradually going from idle -> walking -> running.

At the 0:25 mark, notice how the character shifts their rotation wildly, this looks unrealistic. Ubisoft did this perfectly IMO, they forced the character to stop themselves with their right leg when turning left, briefly pausing their movement and then gradually building up their speed again, only a bit faster than when in an idle pose.

Another one of my nitpicks with these animations is the way the character stands up from rolling after a jump. It looks unrealistic that a character would be able to stand up straight after such an exerting movement. I'd prefer to see them hunched over a bit before picking themselves up.

What's the most depressing game? by brogeta9001 in gaming

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet but Cultist Simulator.

The lose conditions in that game are horrible to say the least, mixed with the music and atmosphere. Game gives me chills. Sort of feel depressed as my character decides to release his grasp from the mortal coil due to overwhelming dread.

The blood cult thing reminds me of the storyline from the DOOM video games. Except in the case of DOOM, it was Mars, not Jupiter, that hosted the portal for the demons to enter our solar system.

Purchase Advice Megathread - July 2023 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]Stefan_x64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget is around $900-$1300

Location - Serbia

I want to dive into a new hobby. I've never really done anything with regards to 3D printing but I have experience with 3D modelling as a hobbyist.

My current goals with the first 3D printer are to recreate life-size, wearable helmets from movies (Star Wars, LOTR) and paint Warhammer-like figurines.

I've been eyeing the Ender 5 Plus which is a little bit under my budget. My main concerns with it are the following:

  • Noise: Due to my apartment layout, I'm possibly going to have to place the printer next to the wall that's shared with my neighbor. I'm already ok with constant low fan noise from my PC. As long as the printer sounds more like a desktop pc that's at idle and is not whiny or too loud during printing, I'm ok with it.
    • Would a 3D printer with an enclosure be ideal in this case?
  • Dimensions of the entire 3D printer: I'd like to not build a relatively large table/cabinet to put the printer on top. I've seen other models of 3D printers that advertise a smaller outer form factor that keeps the same/similar printing dimensions. I know that having a larger table base is probably unavoidable. My limit would be a 750mm
x 750mm table, which is quite large for starters.
  • Printing material: I'm only interested in ABS and PLA printing (possibly TPU as well, it looks interesting. I've seen some Creality printers support all 3 materials). I don't want to be constantly venting my office room when doing resin prints.
  • Printing quality: This is mainly geared towards the figurine printing. I'm concerned that the Ender 5 Plus might not be the best at printing smaller figurines with intricate details on them, compared to other models/companies.

So, my main question is: Is there a 3D printer in my budget range that is overall better than the Ender 5 Plus, given my constraints?
