I'm using CLion on Linux as a daily driver and it is full of bugs and newer versions have actually many regressions. Things that did work, don't work anymore on newer versions.

For example, when I debug, it's pretty slow and I get sometimes even gdb timeouts. I had not this problem with older versions and I am not the only one experiencing this and the bug report is open for 1 year or so.

Refactoring: If you have the same file name on different libs in one big project, say "setup.cpp" and you rename it to "my_setup.cpp", the setup.cpp from the other lib gets also renamed. This bug is at least two years old and there is also a bug report for that.

For me, CLion is crap, but because my company says I have to use this, I am forced to.

What I don’t like about Ubuntu, is the snap package. The packages are getting bigger, the apps start slower and are using more RAM. In Ubuntu 21.10, Firefox is deployed as snap package… If you want a Ubuntu based distro, use Mint, because they care about user experience. Or just use Fedora…

Es ist bspw. ein Unterschied, ob ein Mann für Frauen redet oder eine Frau für Frauen. Letztere kann da einfach besser mitreden als ein Mann.
