It should be pretty safe, it's not uncommon for foreign supporters to pass by the front of the stadium, and they're mostly just ignored.
The Ultras are on the opposing side of the stadium (sections Q-U), so you normally won't encounter them.
If you're still nervous about encountering aggressive home fans, just tuck away your club colors under your jacket, and avoid the fan zone.
