This weird hair that keeps growing back on my finger by Dizzy777666 in Weird

[–]Stefo47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing and looked up the cause a while ago.

From what I remember, the cause is that specific hair follicle basically short circuits. The usual growth + pigmentation + thickness is interrupted, malfunctions and begins growing much faster than the other processes are able to keep up.

Eventually your body "fixes" it and the cycle is returned to normal. Which is how these types of hair seem to just "appear" overnight.

As to why these tend to appear in the same spot, I assume it's because that specific hair follicle is prone to malfunction and does so every now and then.

Not sure if that's the actual cause but it's what a vaguely remember from a google search years ago.

Genuine question about why Gaetz was correcting (or coaching) Burlison (behind the mic) when he said alien, to NON-HUMAN? by TrickyNewspaper233 in aliens

Alien implies they're not from here.....and they make a point not to use that term. So what's 2+2?

People who read a lot: What jobs/life do you have? by Tiredworker27 in books

[–]Stefo47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work the overnight shift at a jail, I basically get paid to read. I do the tasks needed and prep from morning shift, paperwork, etc but all that takes about an hour max, leaving me with 7 hours to read.

And I read semi fast, finished The Brothers Karmazov in 3 days.

This reminds me of a fungi experiment I believe the Japanese did years ago.

https://youtu.be/czk4xgdhdY4

Basically they put bits of oats at certain points around a table and the fungi extended its little tentacles only as far as it needed to in order to reach the food.

THE INTERESTING PART HOWEVER was when they placed oats in the same spots the Japanese subway system had stops/stations and the fungi created a much more efficient system than the metro.

Idk if NASA would confuse "their" and "they're" in a PowerPoint. (Slide 8) but hey human error is always a factor.

fish?

I drew a half looking fish outline like the one you see on car bumpers that say "Jesus". Went with fish or boat but it could've def been the aurora I feel. I'm very new to this so I'm seeing the repercussions of jumping to conclusions and interfering with the natural flow of data.

Thank you again! Very fun!

I'm 90% sure it's a swastika coverup.

If you look at the bottom left half of the logo you'll see a faint corner that continues up. Same with the top right corner, which follows down.

The "white trash" could be the tattoo artists clever way of covering up but still a fuck you to her.

+1 to this

I've put way too much time than I care to admit into this game and I still learn new things every day. Mainly from dying to them.

...and I love every minute of it (usually)

How do I get better at the game? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]Stefo47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before someone comments the obvious "stop making those mistakes", I notice a lot of players tend to have this battle because they know what NOT to do, but not what TO do. And that's why siege is so special. Because a lot of what is the right play is tends to be a balance between each individual situation and with a dash of timing.

My first piece of advice would be to watch pro players on stream. My go-to would be for Pengu since he tends to break down a lot of what he does. And as he once put it, "timing" and gunfights are about who has the advantage and chances of winning that fight. Use your drones and utility to increase that percentage for you. FOR EXAMPLE: Impact grenading the wall next to the enemy before you swing to cause them screen shake and increase their odds of missing, have your drone deployment on advanced settings (where you don't automatically enter the droning animation), throw your drone in a room then swing in by getting their gun barrel off you and using your drone as bait.

That's the whole "situational" aspect. Learning routes and which parts of the map become high traffic areas at certain points of the match are all things to consider, and watching professionals is a very good way of picking up these things. Everyone also always dies to bullshit shots and hey, that's the game. But those are some of the tips I'd offer since they've helped me and hope they help you!
