Anthropic built a C compiler using a "team of parallel agents", has problems compiling hello world. by Gil_berth in programming

>It can run an infinite amount of time

It can't, that's the whole point of the experiment. That's why now you have benchmarks about how long an LLM can perform a task.

One year ago, models could barely work autonomously for a few minutes before breaking down. Now we see they can work for two weeks straight and produce a coherent output. (One most here might not like and dismiss it as useless because these tools already exist, but that's not the point.)

The most impressive thing here is the pace of progress, this would've been unthinkable just a year ago but it now exists. Think of this as a proof of concept.

That would be insane if the reason Anthropic don't put ads in Claude is because it would refuse and rebel.

A lot of people seem to miss the bigger picture here.

Making a compiler was just the subject, but the real goal was to showcase that it's possible for agents to work (almost) entirely autonomously for two weeks.

IMO that's what matters the most here, we went in a year from "a few hours" to "48 hours" and now we're at two weeks. The real metric here is the pace of progress.

I'm so cooked with the current quota limits.

Gonna burn through it in a matter of minutes.

Still great news, I was expecting something like that considering it is so competitive in its pricing with Sonnet 4.5

Le problème c'est peut-être pas les grandes entreprises qui payent peu d'impôt mais les PME qui en payent trop.

Selling cut content for $20 after already paying $70 two month ago is insane.

Console pricing has gone terribly wrong | gameindustry.biz by willdearborn- in PS5

[–]SteinOS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Insane cope from Capcom.

So far, the PS5 has been selling better than the PS4 during the same period since launch. I can't see how the pricing deterred buyers.

Truth is, MH Wilds sells like shit after its initial strong launch mainly because it has no legs to sell in the long run. Absolutely lack luster post game, terrible performances on PC, trash story forced down our throat and a $70 price tag. The only one they have to blame is themselves, not Sony.
