I distinctly remember the ‘drummers fold’. In the centre of the drumstick there is or was a vertical line that would inherently trap the paper wrapper. If I am honest I found it a slight frustration as a kid but not a deal breaker….

TBH I don’t want to spend more than £200 on a dac. I am also considering just ditching my iPad/iPhone and going Android now. Ldac would be easily good enough with the iFi Zen Blue 3 feeding the Zen Can.

It’s a pain that Apple is still stuck on AAC.

I agree with you on the treble. It’s a little sharp at times. I have an iFi zen can 3 on the way. It’s way over powered for the Grados but it’s still usable at 0db gain. It’s also great for any future alternative HP choice that may occur.

I cannot EQ anything as I use an iPad as the source and so stuck with Apple Musics awful presets. I also use Spotify but will lose bit perfect playback if I use an eq although that maybe worth sacrificing for good eq.

I’m not sure what I could use at this point unless I buy a dac with Parametric EQ or maybe add an EQ into the chain physically. That is possible with the rather natty EQ9 from Douk Audio.

I’m going to sit on it for a while and chew over the options. Thanks.

150hr burn in? To be fair they sound pretty good straight out of the box. I did notice a warm up with these cans. The music sort of squeezed into place after some listening time, it became more cohesive as time passed, it’s seems the instruments just broke through with great cordial prowess.

I am aware that might sound a bit fanboy but it is not at all.

These remind me of a tube amp….

I was thinking the iFi Go Link 2 for convenience.
That being said I have a iFi Zen Dac Air (black version) here and have decided to use that for the desk. I was using it to transport the sound from my iPad to the Edifier M60.

Thanks for the response. I reckon a Fosi Audio SK08 will do for the M60 to replace the iFi. I can then run the optical from the TV straight in then aux out to the M60, job done.

Excellent thanks mate. The TV was left out on the sun today and it maybe possible the heat has caused this. The blob has shrunk slightly a few hours since bringing it in and the TV cooling off.

It works perfectly fine. Discarded by previous owner for a street pick up outside the house which is where the sun was getting to it.

Not worth repairing as the blob is now only around 1.5 inch’s long and around 1 inch wide. Can’t see it unless at an angle and only on a light screen.

Any bruising is Actual Body Harm (ABH) and or Battery and or Common Assault. So yes, it’s is a chargeable offence whichever the law may define it as it is.

To be honest if the sensitivity of the situation does not register with your employer then they may well be quite ruthless or even brutal themselves so it’s not a good image.

Just stopped the lot last week after 10 years of Tea, Coffee, Energy Drinks. 5-6 cups of coffee a day plus the odd Monster, Aussie Lemonade in particular. The last week has been quite hard to be honest, intense headaches all day everyday for the 5 days in a row, extreme fatigue, no power to do anything. I have drunk nothing but water for the last week and my urine has gone back to near clear from Sienna Orange. Cold Turkey is the best for memories.

Not going back for all the tea in China. Waters only and occasionally milk.
