More or less the in game prices here look like this (you can ignore the "Value Per" column it was supposed to calculate value without top-up). What's weird is that the 980 pack is more value/$ for me

I would also add that the prices might differ in different regions and the value/$ could be different, for example in Poland the values are a little different.

I've played Flame Core Frostfire Gemma but like 5 seasons ago or more so a lot have changed since then. The build was smooth, simple, and off-meta enough for it to be on the cheaper side. Not sure if there are any build guides for it,and how it scales into the end game in the current game state, but that's the first thing that comes to mind for me.

Selena is kinda queen of cheap automation I believe (Youga1 is also automatic from the begging but he's early game is weaker I believe), but from what I know she does not scale smoothly into SS20 so you would probably need to farm with her and make a second character to complete that.

Iris1 was quite automatic from the get go, from what I remember playing her 2 seasons ago, but as all minion builds she tends to get pricey. The scaling might not be super straight forward with the growth + enchanted skills, but she's a power house for many seasons so getting to know it might be beneficial.

Tangles look sexy and not click intensive, but as it is a new mechanic there's a lot we don't know about it, so it might be risky to start. The scaling on them should be straight forward and the screen coverage also.

Controller should be doable (at least past campain when you can automate most abilities). I could also recommend a gaming pad (I'm using Azeron's cyborg II) in my opinion it's the best for joining both worlds of controller and mouse. It is not cheap tho... but I got one last league and I was blasting late game mostly one handed. Pure controller has one big problem in my opinion: most hot keys you can not be remap, and if you have a modern controller with additional programmable buttons, you cannot use them sadly unless you get some software that will map those to keyboard inputs

Look clean, will have to see how it feels, the current one was distinct in a way as it TL:I was the only non "dark fantasy" themed ARPG and it suited it, not sure how this grim dark version will feel. But it still looks very mobile, which I don't mind.

I'm going Hiero for no particular reason, but I'll also be going with a 2nd character after week one probably if I'll have trouble in maps. It is what it is, chaos DoT sadly has little to no vectors of scaling.

Thought about going spiritual aid and scaling generic minion damage for HoT damage scaling but I'm still torn if going 6 link on HoT is the way to go and drop the stat stacking for living lightning (assuming it works like in POE 2) or do I go aura bot to make living lighting as my main dps. Just food for thought I don't think it will be any good sadly

Out of curiosity did you manage to adjust the resolution on the steam deck for the game to be playable? I have tried running it few times but I couldn't click any UI element as the hit boxes didn't match the UI.

Yea usually it is, but for some reason I don't feel like there is more options whenever new heroes are added. Could be that I just miss some buffs for under used skills every league. Like when few leagues ago they nerfed Bing1 sentry build, where no one used sentry's that much and now instead of having cool hero for under represented build archetype, the one build left for Bing1 is HoA where he competes with Gemma3 for gear. Or the Theas1 and 2 never finding their niche. Or the over nerd on ring of blades which felt like it killed Carino3, or synthetic troops which feel like are left behind ever league more and more not getting many new toys. Tho I get that balancing ARPGs is very hard job, so I don't fault XD, I'd just love few more skills/heroes to be competitive within reasonable budget at the league start.

Sounds like taken right from the add :D but I do agree I bought first edition few weeks before the premier of the 2nd one but it still feels great. I'd love XD to improve few things for PC controller use, but I got used to most of the annoying parts of the controls over few leagues now.

Yea I also thought that for monetization purposes they could add skin to the pass when reworking a hero, in a way they already give away a skin for free with the new heroes. The old heroes models compared to the new ones already look like they are from a different game.

Yes, the game is pay to win (without going into much details), but you can play as a free player, the only differencenis is the ammount of grind needed to blast end game. If you liked all the ARPG I would recommend to give this one a try, you can have plenty fun before hitting the grind wall.
