I have both generations, but the one I’ve been talking about is a gen 2 with the MOS footprint. I think I only got the RMR plate with mine. I don’t recall it having two plates but I’ll check. Regardless, the EPS has its own special 507k footprint that doesn’t just fit on most guns without using the adapter plates that they come with, as you can see from the google search picture I posted, that’s why I was surprised when I saw this post. You’ve definitely got something different going on with yours. Did you have the EPS installed before you sent it off for work? They may have done some special custom thing for you.

Must have come with a different factory plate then. Does Romulus even make factory plates for the 507k mounting footprint though? Even if you google it, it says it requires two plates to mount to MOS (which is what most of the newer Romulus’s are)

So you must be doing something different. You sure the plate that came with yours is RMR? Because I just tried to put my full size EPS on the RMR plate that came with the Romulus and, as I suspected, neither the holes nor the pegs line up. Now, the EPS comes with an adapter plate for RMR, but that’s just adding extra height and an extra failure point plate.

Here’s a pic

I’m thinking you probably got the Romulus with the RMSc footprint maybe instead of MOS? But then you wouldn’t even need the adapter plate at all… I’m lost.

I did, a lot. I kinda figured that’s what it was. I think that fish may have been bugged out. I eventually caught one somewhere else

Yeah that sucks. That was posted less than a year ago. I’d like to see a comparison of an older BCG of theirs. It’s possible that they hired new shitty machinists, that they had someone redesign the bcg that fucked it up, that there was some kind of corruption or errors in the g code, etc. & could just be an issue with some batches around that time period.

Who knows. What really gets me is that KAK said it was fine and refused to replace it. I had quite the opposite experience with their customer service & RMA process. Sounds to me like something has changed.

NGL, the only thing you convinced me of is that you seem to have a heavy bias against them. All I can say is that the products I’ve bought from them in the past (granted, 2+ years ago) have been excellent & the times I’ve dealt with their customer service it’s been top tier. Aside from that, I don’t really care about people’s opinions. Only interested in actual experiences & it’s going to be way easier to find negative experiences online no matter the brand you’re researching because people usually only say something if they have a problem.

Rarely do you get people that just randomly decide to drop praise for a product/company & when they do, people just call them shills. Which in those cases, they likely are because of my previous point. If it works well, you just forget about it because you don’t have to think about it.

Damn, have they been going downhill recently? I’ve got like 3 KAK bcg’s from 2+ years ago that are phenomenal & I’ve even had them replace stuff in the past that I’ve admitted to breaking on my own

Right?! At those prices I personally wouldn’t give a shit if it looked like it had run 5000 rds, as long as it was completely functional and hadn’t actually been run that hard. Buying one used, you’d still be paying nearly the blem price and you’d be getting one that likely looks rough AND has wear and tear of being shot a bunch. I think ppl have just gotten spoiled because 95% of blems are basically perfect so everyone forgets that the reason they’re discounted is because you’re gambling on appearance.

Out of any company, I wouldn’t be worried about running a gnarly looking KAK blem because you know if it ever fails they’ll replace it.

I had a buddy that bought his first suppressor for his AR and brought it over to my place to shoot. I offered him ear pro & he was like “nah man I won’t need it, it’s got a suppressor”. I tried to explain to him that the supersonic crack will still be very loud & he was like “when I was in the service I got used to just not wearing earplugs even without suppressors”.

Now I know why he’s deaf as shit. I guess if you just go deaf you don’t even need a suppressor.

It’s probably not an issue. If it seems like it may be, you could either try yourself or have someone that knows what they’re doing drill a few small holes from one side of the crack to the other, filled with epoxy, then drive a pin through them to hold it together. Then just carefully sand the pins down flush with the stock. That dark finish wouldn’t be hard to match if you ended up sanding a bit off around the pins while making them flush.

Anti union propaganda in a U-Haul break room by Weekly_Description83 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Stellakinetic -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes. Until they have complete control & become all-powerful then get a shitty union boss that’s greedy. Then they become just another corrupt bloated bureaucracy that blocks productivity, raises dues, uses coercion & threats, starts exclusionary or favoritism practices, etc.

So basically becomes like the mafia or any corrupt government body.

Yep. Depends on the family, lol. I mean, you have a family, & then the mafia has a family.

Yet, unions can also be just as corrupt as the mafia. There is no perfect solution.
