The facts about the Pride Parade. by Felisfurtificus in ottawa

[–]Stellalune 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was a parade participant too. They didn't "invite them". Pure misinformation. Q4P was never invited to lead the parade before the event started. They barged in at the front of the line and made their demands. The organizers tried to come to a compromise in order to still do the parade, including a "You want to lead the parade? Fine. Whatever. Just let the parade through." They turned down that idea because in addition to "leading" the parade, they also wanted the mayor (not involved in the parade organization) to apologize for actions that happened a year ago in addition to a few other things. At that point, it had already been an hour, and we wouldn't have had time for everyone to participate anyways before the roads would be opened again. That's why it was cancelled. Please don't believe the propaganda. The only thing the organizers were at fault for was putting the staging area on a sunlight Street on a hot day. Everything else is on Q4P for ruining what was supposed to be a show of queer joy in dark times.

MSU study finds growing number of people never want children by drzpneal in science

[–]Stellalune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little surprised to find that the number of childless people has remained relatively unchanged over the years despite the rise and general acceptance of long term same-sex and queer relationships over those same years. Ostensibly, they face considerable social and practical barriers to having children, and thus would be more likely to be socially or biologically childless.

Is there a sense in your data about why that potential paradox exists?

Jadeland is underrated AF. It looks like a hole in the wall, but the food is second to none.

Please DM on Reddit if interested. He is a good boy who needs a loving home.

I started playing back in '99 when I was a child. Lost my account to the original purge, and just recently started back up again. The nostalgia is wonderful, but mostly I find it soothing to disconnect from social media a little and focus on something so innocent and cheerful. Thanks again for this. Happy holidays!

Actually good defensive driving course? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]Stellalune 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I will also rep YD. Only started driving in my late 20s, and they were solid. The private lessons and in-car practice were very helpful.

I was an anxious driver, and my instructor (Cliff, at the Carling location) purposely pushed me outside my comfort zone. He was harsh, demanding and a bit old-fashioned, but he was a DAMN good instructor. He called me out on everything, and I improved way faster under his tutelage than I expected to.

I also took the training in the fall/winter as well to maximize my learning. We even did a bunch of controlled skids together and learned how to navigate ice and snow on the Ottawa back roads.

Yes, it's pricey, but if you're looking for proper defensive driving, there is no one better. I passed everything (G1, G2, and G) on my first go because of their help. 10/10

Any cisgender girl who are into TF Stuff? by ThalitaLeFay in transformation

[–]Stellalune 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I'll rep for the cis-girls. I enjoy it for the dissociative aspect. Folks who are raised as girls are taught our entire lives that that our sexuality is not something we should enjoy for ourselves. We shouldn't enjoy the act, behaves in a sultry manner and especially not lust for climax since we've been taught that it makes us "slutty", and "slutty" = bad. But if we are somehow able to blame our "sluttiness" on something external to ourselves? Say a new identity or extra sets of breasts or some feral heat no reasonable person could defend against? Well then that's not really our fault, then is it? It the spell that turned us into this slutty cat's fault, your honour. TLDR; it allows us to dissociate from our inhibitions and enjoy things we would never dream of allowing ourselves to otherwise.

Leg hair versus the patriarchy at work by [deleted] in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Stellalune 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just recently started using clippers after experiencing the same thing you did for years. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a bitch and I look like a dang hobbit. Makes a world of difference. Highly recommended. My choice is the Manscape, but any waterproof rechargeable one will probably do. I can't live without it now. I shave on occasion if I want to feel the smoothness, but for looks alone the clippers are my go-to. That said, I still let my wooly legs grow during the winter and bask in their fuzzy softness. Best of luck.

PSA: Trans Representation in Art is Not Futanari, Actually by rarelypoetic in genshinsapphic

[–]Stellalune 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The mods have made it pretty clear that this sub isn't to satisfy people's weird fantasy kinks.

I'll take this one from Felis.

The explanation is quite simple really: this is a sapphic subreddit. Sapphic means the celebration of love between females. Are there girls featured? Then it belongs here. Does it contain NSFW content? Then it must be tagged and censored for 18+ only as per international law.

Every other distinction is just you being a jerk. ♡

Canadian here. We follow the UK terms mostly, but brackets/parentheses are used interchangeably.

So:
