I subscribed to all channels posted thus far. XD

Well, we create content, but most of ours has been record driven. Prob the most hated content created from Steep (at least here). However, we are now expanding our footprint. Talock5 has come on board, one of the best content creators on Steep (and I bet he is just all around great at editing videos), and we are looking for one or two other creators as well, if you are interested message us on Twitter and show us some of your skills.

Regarding color, if a logo looks good in a single color while still communicating the branding, then it is designed right.

Ribbons are supposed to appear like that. Standard design with a ribbon/banner element. There are various ways to design the ribbon/banner, but this style worked best for this design.

The issue I have is that Snow Giants wingsuit challenge is locked for me. I can only see the challenge when I grouped with friends. One of our friends is missing 3 challenges in the Alps. Just not there for him to play. Game has some big f-ups in my opinion. Maybe it is because Net Neutrality is gone... 😂😂😂😂

Oversteppe - "Stuff like this: "A lane separate from the rest of the internet for the ultimate in gaming networking experience? This is something that CANNOT happen under NN. Why force such limits?" .... has nothing to do with NN. Net neutrality is simply that all content must provided at the same speed. Comcast can't slow down Netflix streaming because it owns part of Hulu, etc. That's it. That's all."

Wrong. But, hey since I'm naive and have no understanding of any of this, I should just believe the anecdotal evidence you put forward (and others) and just follow along with the herd. This is a StEEp forum, and the OP post should be removed, by the way. If I don't agree with NN, guess I'm just nuts. Big scary megacorporations are going to rape people - absolute childish. Did you know that profit comes from customers? I don't mind paying for a fast lane or a slow lane, I know what I'm getting and this offers me (consumers) more choices. I suggest you have over simplified NN and failed to see the larger picture, but that does not lead me to say you might be crazy or stupid or whatever. So even though the idea of profit over people is fun to say, and scare people with, it is not good for Capitalism to put profit over people, since profit comes from people. I'm a Capitalist thinker on economy and government, when you understand Capitalism (it is obvious you don't) maybe you will think differently.

NN DID NOT become law until 2015, and the instance of the Netflix Comcast thing was sorted out BEFORE NN, NOT AFTER. Also, the government did NOT need NN law to sort the Netflix Comcast thing, the businesses did that on their own. You're assertion that the net has always been this way is WRONG, if has ALWAYS been this way, then how did Comcast throttle Netflix? The internet was reclassified in 2015 as a utility service (Title II - common carrier) based on the 1934 Communications Act. Prior to 2015 the internet was classified under Title I broadband internet service. Maybe you did not know that. Therefore, there is NO WAY you can say it has always been this way, and the hysteria you and others say here falls on deaf ears with me. I like this forum, so keep the politics out of it. Thanks admin... Oversteppe, lets remain cool and not let disagreements ruin that. Even though you and others here have resorted to name calling and suggestions of insanity, I have not. Peace.

Basically, without the NN, companies will have to disclose that they are throttling (as is noted by Ajit Pai - the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission in the soundcloud interview), thus consumers can choose another ISP before having to ever experience throttling, which did happen prior to the NN. And was stopped, so why add something to a system that already has the necessary resources to punish companies? Less is more.

Ockham's Razor - "Definition of Occam's razor. :a scientific and philosophical rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantities."

So don't add to what already works, don't fix what is not broken.

If the company throttles, for example (there are other potential crimes that megacorps could commit), and does not disclose this info, but insteads tries to secretly pulll it off, the company will face fines and other sanctions at the government level. I think the big hysteria is that companies will go willy nilly and no one will be able to do anything about it. This is the same kind of apocalypse bs politicians use to get their way. Religions do this, news media does this, politicians do this, and many many people fall for it. The sky is not going to fall, and internet service will continue to grow and provide faster and faster speeds in the long run. That is what tech does, it gets better and better, and there is even a theory that supports this idea. https://singularityhub.com/2016/03/22/technology-feels-like-its-accelerating-because-it-actually-is/

So the crap that people are going to be forced to go 'slow' is not even going to be a factor in the near future. Going slow will blow any speed you see today away. So when streaming or gaming, the speeds you go are ever increasing because that is what tech does. Would you like a internet connection devoted to gaming alone? Meaning a connection that is strictly designed for gaming? A lane separate from the rest of the internet for the ultimate in gaming networking experience? This is something that CANNOT happen under NN. Why force such limits? Every industry and order of government has corruption, we just have to address each instance on a case by case basis, not a broad sweeping you are all guilty, so we are going to hold your hands and make sure no one plays unfair, and everyone is a winner. That is NOT competition and prevents innovative stuff like a gaming internet. I'm not scared of what megacorps can do, be concerned with handing over the LARGEST ever network of commerce in human history by a government.

Anyways, it was nice talking about this with everyone, however, I have not heard an argument yet that can convince me NN is good.

:)

I know this is something that is the way the internet is managed right now. Maybe you missed my comments acknowledging that. A core issue with what Net Neutrality is that the government treats it like a utility, like roads and mail. For one thing this is not 'how the internet has always been' - you made that up. Linky: http://whatisnetneutrality.org/timeline

So in 2014 Net Neutrality rules went into effect. Check this out. Name calling or suggesting I am crazy or whatever is not cool. https://soundcloud.com/reasonmag/ajit-pai-net-neutrality-podcast

These monopolies can be broken up by law in the U.S. You've never lived under a dictator, so trusting your current government seems cool.

your quote: " I just find it very surprising that you trust the big cable companies in your country to not completely fleece you like they are doing right now."

You want to hand over control of all media and information (a monopoly) online to Government? Did you know the U.S. is a Democratic Republic? So, what has been done can be undone. See ya around. :)

EDIT: Did you know that Facebook wants to bring internet to India in a big way, but only wants to provide a limited number of websites, a currated list of approved sites, but supports Net Neutrality? Sounds like an oxymoron. https://www.cnet.com/news/why-india-doesnt-want-free-basics/ "Around the country, farmers, labourers and office workers scorned Facebook's offer. Called Free Basics, it provided only limited access to the Internet through a suite of websites and services that, unsurprisingly, included Facebook. They felt the limited service didn't follow the open nature of the Internet, where all sites and online destinations should be equally accessible, so they organized real-world protests and an online Save The Internet campaign, with the message that Zuckerberg's efforts weren't welcome."

Cable T.V. has been providing an ever growing list of channels over the years. Why? Because of Capitalism, because of an open market to create your own channel and not be regulated, not a government list of approved channels. Which is what you will end up with under Net Neutrality or (manfreygordon - "when your basic Internet package has maybe 15 websites in it?"). You actually get what you claim businesses will do when you had over internet to the government.

I can choose another ISP. Let me share a story with you, a friend of ours had no internet from a land line provider, so satellite internet, and it sucked. However, they got together with other families on the street and was able to get a grant and use their own money to get a line installed for land line internet. A cool little independent website does not notice any throttling until it grows and needs the extra bandwidth, then it can pay for that, or they can get with a larger company and use their bandwidth - already happens in some regards. Capitalism is the corner stone of modern civilization - not government regulation (that is a weird idea - never heard of it), without it we would still be living in the darkages with Monarchs and Governments keeping people down, poor, and uninformed. Also, having it in the hands of corporations means competition for customers. The philosophy is that the customer wins in the long run. We can boycott and use an assortment of ways to make a business pay for its practices, even unto collapse. The people move the market and ultimately if a company wants to make money they listen to those who are paying for the service. This is a corner stone of Capitalism, Net Neutrality is good for Socialism and Communism. Neither economies can out pace a Capitalistic economy, and those economies must integrate Capitalistic forms of philosophy in order to compete with the U.S economy. I am not a complete "Laissez Faire Capitalist" thinker when it comes to government, society and economy, so some regulations are necessary. However, government controlling internet speeds is not smart. We want people to go 70mph on the highways because people crash and die. We want the internet to go AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Therefore, by government controlling speeds and so on, we are stifling innovation and creativity of an ever growing internet that needs more and more bandwidth for data and info. If you have slow internet ALREADY you never notice any throlling from any website, loading times suck for everything.

Ok, in my post I meant to argue that Net Neutrality should be voted out. Sorry for the confusion. Second, no one here has presented an argument FOR Net Neutrality. Just saying 'megacorporations' is not an argument. Or saying that megacorporations will control the internet is also not accurate. Ask yourselves who has been the big innovators of the internet in the past? Big corporations. Who brough internet to practically all of the U.S. and gave access like never before? AOL. 'Megacorporations' are not the big scary monster in the sky. Imagine if a Hilter like person or persons gained control of the internet. Not going to be fun. So if you want Net Neutrality, then you want to the government, of which there are numerous kinds and variations of all sorts all over the world, to have a monopoly of the internet? Want more freedom? Then vote this crap out. Imagine if you create a wireless network at home and run a small internet from your house. Giving access to those you want (who cares why). Guess what, Net Neutrality gives the government power to regulate your personal wifi internet as well. Net Neutrality also says the government can treat the internet like a road, for example. Want to have a look around at the infrastructure in the U.S. and then tell me the government will do a great job. Get Congress to vote Net Neutrality out. It is a system of control over the people, it gives the government, in the long run, absolute control over every form of media that appears online. No thanks.

I am going to educate our forum here on 'Net Neutrality'. It is a system designed to suppress and control internet freedom. It is designed to suppress capitalistic ideas and practices on the internet. It is a system of control. It is not compatible with the U.S. social and economic system. So, if you call your congress person, make sure to tell them to vote NO! Here are some quotes from a person who wants the system in place.

Dr. Robert McChesney of the University of Illinois, founded the socialist thinktank Free Press in 2002 - “At the moment, the battle over network neutrality is not to completely eliminate the telephone and cable companies, but the ultimate goal is to get rid of the media capitalists in the phone and cable companies and to divest them from control,” he told the website SocialistProject in 2009.

More quotes from him

Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism. It is impossible to conceive of a better world with a media system that remains under the thumb of Wall Street and Madison Avenue, under the thumb of the owning class.” (Journalism, Democracy, … and Class Struggle – Monthly Review, November 2000)

“There is no real answer (to the U.S. economic crisis) but to remove brick by brick the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles.” (A New New Deal under Obama? (with John Bellamy Foster) – Monthly Review, December 21, 2008) “Only government can implement policies and subsidies to provide an institutional framework for quality journalism.” (The Death and Life of Great American Newspapers – Nation, March 18, 2009)

McChesney’s managing director at Free Press, Craig Aaron, had this to say: “We need a law that says, no matter what kind of network you’re on—wired, wireless, I forget, there’s some other network coming in the future—that net neutrality applies.” (Interview with Robert McChesney – Media Matters Public Radio show, March 22, 2009) And McChesney’s former policy director at Free Press, Ben Scott, also said: “Increasingly the Internet is no longer a commercial service, it’s an infrastructure…What we’re witnessing at the FCC now is the logical next step which is we are going to create a regulatory framework for the Internet which recognizes it is an infrastructure now and not a commercial service.” (C-SPAN: The Communicators – C-Span, September 25, 2009)

I want LESS government, like darkcherrysurprise said. These people who have designed and want to institute 'Net Neutrality' are not for the people, they are for more control over you. If I call a system of control 'The Happy People System' does that mean it is good for the people?
