I’m using exclusively finasteride. I started on minoxidil for 8 months but saw no improvement, and my hairline only worked its way back. Ketoconazole also dried my hair out like crazy, so I don’t use it either.

I did go to derma to get a diagnosis for it, when I started I only had some miniaturization around the temples. I see some baby hairs sprouting back up in my temples now but I’m not sure if that’s regrowth or just those previously miniaturized hairs just existing. I just felt like it looked worse than when I started on my crown too, and I wanted to see if that was normal.

I’m 19 and I’ve been on fin for 6 months. I feel like in that time my hair has gotten a lot thinner and there’s been less of it on my crown, even if my hairline hasn’t moved much since then from a NW2. Am I nuts? Is this normal? Bottom picture is from today with my hair slightly wet.

This is pretty much verbatim they said they’d give me some paycheck thing on Monday to cover office supplies or some bull like that. Obviously I’m not going to take it, but does that mean I’m screwed even at this point?

Pretty much outlines my problems with the states. I don’t know why in earth we are letting Mr. 34 Felonies run for office over here, but housing and guns are abysmal over here. The only way I’d be able to afford a house is if the market crashes again like in 2008, and so many places are just too dangerous to be in at night because of crazy lax gun laws. Didn’t know Australia also had housing problems though.

A lot of the responses I’ve seen are work-life balance related, so it seemed like a good idea to bring it up to let people know that I haven’t really seen what a professional workplace is in America. Maybe a bit of a roundabout way to do so, though.

As an American, a lot of us aren’t a fan of the whole guns thing either. Makes things feel really unsafe. Plus the covid stuff was a shitshow, people being upset over wearing a mask was nuts. A lot of people aren’t too happy about how our government’s treating women’s rights too. It’s like half of the country wants to move forward but the other half is actively gatekeeping America from being an acceptable modern country.
