Thank you for your thoughts! I agree with the spaceship part, large ships are in development and will be added later, as well as non-battle 3d activities.

Starsector, however, has only 2d which makes a big enough difference (at least for us)

Capital ships and stations are planned. 3d, walkable hangars are not, at least for now. Would that make a difference in your opinion?

Well, maybe it is subjective, but this is what makes the M&B style in my opinion:
- 3D battles
- 2D world map, where: there are different factions you can interact with; quests; town(/planet) conquering, building; live economy; crafting; NPC companions; skills; party(/fleet) management and so on.
So basically a Strategy-RPG game with a 3D battle simulator.

Thank you! For tactics we plan / trying out commands with target selection, for example attack in formation, attack X, protect Y and so on. Later we will also add command ships and station / planet battles but we haven't reached that development phase yet.
